Excellent, reputable source of plant-based Omega-3 fatty acids
Complement is a well known and well respected brand in the plant-based world. The omega-3’s in these vegan capsules are derived from algae and ahiflower (whatever that is). They are manufactured in the USA and are third party tested. The capsules are normal sized and easy to take, with no taste or aftertaste. They are gluten-free, non-GMO, and have a two year shelf life. They come in a zippered pouch instead of a bottle, presumably to cut down on plastic. Their website states “We triple-test every batch to ensure potency, purity, and transparency, then publish those 3rd-party test results on our site for everyone to see.” I’m very happy with this particular Omega Complex, and I feel very safe and confident in taking them.

Vegan Omega 3 Supplement, 30 Servings, 60 Liquid Capsules By Complement
I ordered the Vegan Omega 3 Supplement, 30 Servings, 60 Liquid Capsules By Complement. The product came in a sealed zip top bag. I prefer my supplements to be in bottles but I appreciate the effort to reduce plastic use and can easily pour these into an empty, older bottle. The expiration date is 2/27. At nearly two years away, that is sufficient time to use the 30 day supply. The gel caps are about 3/4 of an inch long and easy to swallow. There was no scent or taste when taking. There were no fishy (or algae!) burps after taking the pill in spite of the fact that I took it by itself. Generally I take Omegas with a fat to help keep it from repeating. I am pleased with this product.

Great product
Nice quality product made in the USA. As with any health product YMMV but I feel like these have given me the outcome I have hoped for as a nice source of Omega-3 FAs. This is a five star product but I had to take a star off for the package that they came in. The bag the capsules came in is supposedly biodegradable and compostable material so maybe that is what led to the issue but the zip lock top unstuck from the side of the bag rather than unzipped itself the very first time I opened it. Great product but I had to immediately transfer all of the capsules to a new container.

Certainly not the best
While I do appreciate biodegradable packaging and that the product was made in the USA which means I trust the quality of the product however there are a few things that just don’t work for me. I found it kind of strange that instead of gel caps these are actually two-piece capsules filled with liquid which is the first time I have ever seen that which is not a problem in and of itself however there is a fairly large air pocket in the capsules which means they float so when you’re taking them I found that I had to lean my head forward so the capsule would float to the back of my mouth before I could swallow them. As always when it comes to any form of oil especially fish oil I always cut one of the capsules open and give it my usual sniff test and I must admit these are not odor free and to me smell more like the beach after a fish kill which is not pleasant to most people.

Interesting. Vegan alternative to fish oil.
I’m not vegan. I’m just another happy omnivore that munches whatever avails. As such, I’m not sure what to think of these vegan omega-3 supplements. They go down and seem to act like fish oil. They don’t smell fishy when chopped open. That’s a good sign when you chop open a fish/krill oil capsule but I don;t know if it matters with these vegan things. Just dunno. There’s a good chance that these are more…. sanitary?? consistent?? because they aren’t squeezed out of random fish. It is a mystery.I swapped to these from my normal fish oil about a week ago and have noticed no side effects or oddness. Seems fine and normal. Cost is premium.

Interesting blend – but fishy tasting
I’m tired of gagging (and later burping) on fish oil capsules so was happy for the chance to try this plant-based omega-3 blend.The expiration date on the package I received is two years out.However, I opened a capsule and tasted the contents; if you’re seriously put off by fish you may want to reconsider these as they do have a fishy taste. I guess it’s from the algae? Capsules are regular size, not bad to swallow.Many of the capsules are distorted, so I have concerns about whether these have been exposed to excessive heat.

The pills are typical capsule size, which for me is easy to swallow. I wish the pills did not contain silicon dioxide.

Fish oil
These omega supplements are great. I wanted to add some fish oils, etc to my diet but these are convenient and have a great dosage. I like how they come in a bag instead of a bottle – they are easy to store flat in a bag for travel or when you’re on the go. Would recommend these as an added supplement to your diet!
