The real deal (for better and for worse)
This Trace Minerals shilajit is unlike any other shilajit product I’ve used before: it hasn’t been refined into a neat gel cap for convenient consumption, so you need to be prepared for some molasses-like gooeyness and a medicinal smell and taste. There’s a hooked “spoon” for scooping a pea-sized portion out of the tiny inner jar and mixing that into lukewarm water, tea, or milk. I’m drinking it in water; it takes a bit of stirring to get it to dissolve, but then it doesn’t taste too bad.I have been impressed with the quality of every Trace Minerals product I’ve tried and this one is no exception, though you do need to commit to going through the somewhat cumbersome prep process in order to reap its benefits. I appreciate having access to this precious substance in this purer, more potent, less-processed form that’s closer to its source.

Well packaged, Pure source for Trace Minerals
Before adding any type of supplements to your diet, I feel it’s important to understand what they are, the purpose of which they’re sourced (or made) and what purpose do they serve you.I’ve taken some form of Trace Minerals for years. Generally in the form of drops, so was anxious to try Shilajit Resin Mineral Supplement. Whenever I try something new, particularly a product such as this. I start out slow. Instructions state a pea size amount at 500mg (0.01oz) which is suggested as a daily dose. For me, I began with the correct dose, however spaced it out which equated to 3 times over the course of a week. I did this for two weeks before moving to a daily dose.I have no ill effects to report. Performance was an expected for me. One thing worth mentioning, if you’ve not taken Trace Minerals previously – the taste can be bitter. You want that though, while not always an indication however those sourced pure and natural, non processed generally have an after taste of such. The powder is finely grained and blends well. I prefer to hide mine in Protein Shakes or mixed in with something like veggies. For whatever reason, this works best for me. Forewarned, you can still expect a taste though! The manufacturer Trace Minerals includes a small golden scoop with the packaging. The small bottle holds about 60 servings. Package arrives sealed with the sealed dark glass jar tucked inside. It’s dark for a reason, as for optimal benefits you will also want to keep this out of direct sunlight. You’ll find a clear address of the Company, based out of Roy, Utah. There is also a Batch No., Manufacturing Date and Expiration Date. The Batch I received mid November was packaged in June 2024 with a good shelf life with expiration of June 2026 (I’ve included photos above for you)I’ve been incorporating the Trace Minetals into my regimen just about 4 weeks now, with almost 1/2 of the bottle gone. I feel like I’ve given myself adequate time to write this review. As mentioned above, I have zero negatives to report and have experienced what I expect from a natural source such as this. Everyone is different and I do not feel I’m qualified to tell you if this is something for you. Nor am I a Doctor. Please do your research first and only once you feel informed make the choice. I will say, I believe this Company is among the better ones to purchase from. Priced fair and it’s quite clear, I’m indeed getting the product I expected to from a pure source.I will purchase from this company in the future.

    Excellent shilajit supplement
If you’ve tried shilajit, you know it has a bit of a strong metallic flavor. This product is no different. If you know what to expect in terms of flavor, this is a high-quality shilajit tar, and I recommend taking the dose of shilajit blended with some warm water and a chlorophyll concentrate for best results. This gives you an amazing dose of minerals to start your day. I haven’t experienced any adverse effects from taking this supplement and I definitely recommend it!

    Thick substance
It’s a thick gooey substance. They provide measuring tool that has hook on one side that I was using but had no idea if I was getting my “pea” measurement. Found out after calling that I was using wrong side and there’s a faint measure line on other side, which is still hard to measure. Said it would last 60 days. Mine lasted 5 weeks. The last week of using it all turned hard on bottom. I tried microwaving to loosen up and yes I put lid tightly on. I also didn’t feel like I noticed any change in my mental alertness. I would not recommend.

    Messy to Use, Subtle Effects
This shilajit resin is a little messy to handle. I have noticed a slight increase in energy, but it’s nothing dramatic.

    Shilajit I can trust!
I’m cautious about where my shilajit is sourced. Trace Minerals is a brand I know and trust, and I feel confident that I’m getting a good product from them. It does come in resin form which is the traditional and least processed variation of taking shilijit. It also comes with a little metal “hook” spoon for scooping out the resin. Do be prepared to taste the Shilajit, it is good medicine. Their Shilajit comes with both a manufacturing date as well as an expiration date which I am super grateful for.

Seems authentic but thin on details
I have been using Shilajit fir several years after reading about it in a book about ayurvedic practices. I can’t say I notice any alteration in my well being but like the concept of its micro nutrients. When I first started there were only a few products on the market. It was as thick as road tar, very difficult to portion out and tasted horrendous. Many newer products have a much thinner, almost runny consistency which raises my eyebrow. This Shelijit is still somewhat thick; perhaps similar to molasses. The taste seems right and familiar, though I have grown to tolerate it and almost like it. So, it seems like the real thing. Two concerns stand out in my mind, though. First is its sourcing and origins. Shilajit comes from regions of the Himalayas. The altitudes of harvesting seem to have some relevance as well. But that information is lacking unless I missed it. Second, is it says it’s third party tested, but that third party isn’t mentioned. Is it a credited lab or in a cousin’s bathroom? So yes, I like this product. It’s a relatively good value, spoons easily to serve, tastes right and came securely packaged. Just feel slightly uneasy regarding the lack of specific documentation details.
