The best form of Omega 3 I’ve found so far
Being a researcher by nature, I dug deep to find the best Omega 3 supplement. Here’s why I think this one is at the top: First, watch Dr. Lang’s video for more detailed info. No matter the brand, get the rTg form of Omega 3, which this one is. This involves an extra processing step(s) to create the triglyceride form of Omega 3, which is much easier and efficient for our bodies to process, as opposed to the cheaper ester form. Omega 3 is a polyunsaturated fat, which is prone to oxidation, turning it rancid over time. The triglyceride form is much more stable, providing a much longer shelf life (I keep my bottle in the refrigerator until consumption, to greatly increase shelf life). I like the high percentage of EPA, and DHA acids (to total oil), which is “the good stuff” in the Omega 3, and allows the minimum gelcap size for a high amount of EPA/DHA. This has one of the highest amounts of EPA/DHA in a 2-capsule dose. The capsules are somewhat large but easy to swallow. . Some people may have a hard time swallowing these (I don’t), so a smaller capsule such as the Pure Essentials may work BUT you need to take 4 caps for a similar dose, not two. This Omega 3 is from non-predatory fish, so potentially less/no heavy metal contaminants, and I believe the purification/distillation process would remove all contaminants. I think the price is reasonable for a triglyceride form with high amounts of EPA/DHA. If you do the research on other brands, make sure you calculate the EPA/DHA to the cost per gelcap. Lastly, you’ll see all sorts of ratios of EPA/DHA, and according to research, some ratios are better for brain/cognition, while others are slightly better for cardiovascular health. I feel this brand has a good compromise between the two, and the larger amount of EPA to DHA is always good, as the body can convert some EPA into DHA but the reverse is not true.So that’s my long-winded reason(s) I picked this brand. If money is tight please get some form of Omega 3, as it’s so very important for health, something is better than nothing.

    Avoid purchasing in hot months
We have used this fish oil for years and I do recommend it to my patients to help alleviate symptoms of dry eye. It’s a triglyceride form which is great. The last few bottles we’ve purchased on Amazon we left in the sun on our porch and smelled a little rancid so I would be careful with purchasing online during summer months.

Hight Quality – Good Value – they cost more but you get more
I purchase these for my Mother in Law because her doctor highly recommends them. At 93 she finds them easy to swallow and does not suffer any belching or problems after taking them. I have looked for another product to replace them but there are few other of the Omega 3 products I have found of this quality and dose of actual Omega 3. Fish oil supplements can be tricky to navigate by the way they are labeled, some simply showing total mg of fish oil on front and others listing mg of actual Omega 3 and the forms they occur. As the purchaser look carefully to know what you are buying. For those who need a lot of Omega 3 this is a good product.

Stronger dosage, less capsules per day
Good brand. Trying stronger dosage to see if it will work as well with less capsules per day. Still waiting to see how it works.

    Dry eye relief
My eye doctor suggested this particular product for my dry eyes. I was using another omega product, but this product has been better for my dry eyes.

    No fish burps!
I was a little apprehensive about possible fishy burps but these were totally fine. There’s a noticeable smell in the bottle but no discernable smell when taking them. Also, I needed to ease into taking the full suggested dose as I initially had some heartburn/gurgly stomach.
