Such a simple way to effectively engage your core! The portability of this model is an added plus
I am not an excercise enthusiast. I have always had a very weak core despite an athletic background through college. At 40, I’m trying to improve myself physically just a little, and I’m doing it with simple things I can do at home. To be clear, a lot of my effort started with losing weight nutritionally. So I’m at a fairly skinny but far from scrawny baseline at 5’9″ 165ish. I bought this Stealth because I liked the idea – engaging your core by forcing yourself to be stable while planking. And I looked at cheaper versions and decided I should go with the quality brand with established, functional games to use. Stealth seems to have the best concept design for creating multi-directional instability that forces your core to keep you in place. If you’re not picky about games, you don’t have to pay a thing for the basic ones, and they’re plenty engaging to keep you going for a couple minutes. I’ve started at 2 minutes a day – 2 minutes! I’ve even missed days here and there, yet in 3 weeks (I’m up to 3 minutes a day now) I can see some shape in my abdominal area that I have NEVER seen before. You can easily tell that it engages your abs from top to bottom. In my prior experience with traditional situps or crunches, my upper abs would do all the work, and I could never engage the lower ones. Not the case with this AT ALL. You can feel the fatigue from ribs to waist. Even when I used to be in good shape years ago and I could run forever, I never had any semblance of lines like I’m starting to see after 3 weeks of 2-3 minutes a day. Maybe this won’t do as much for you if you’re already a workout fiend, but if you want to start from scratch or limited core strength or stability, this is a great option if you’re willing to spend $100 one time. The portability of this particular model plus a sale is why I bought it as opposed to the normal one that doesn’t disassemble. It is perfectly stable so far with very clear instructions on how to assemble it appropriately.

Excellent and FUN Exercise equipment
Have used for 25 days in a row and it has changed my core drastically. I started out at being able to do 1min planks on this and now in less than one month I am up to 3:35mins. I can tell I am stronger in my core as well as my back high also helps posture. I am 50 years old and I LOVE this thing!! It is something that is fun interactive, quick to do and with the games you don’t even realize how much time has went by. I highly recommend this product and this NOT sponsored review!!

Great piece of equipment but takes some time
This Core trainer is definitely built for you to build a hardcore core. I got the pro version because of the weight limit and its super sturdy and easy to use right out of the box. The app was easy to download and get started with. The only drawbacks are my own physical limitations and me being afraid that I will pinch my fingers if I rock forward too far on the board. This has been a great addition to my fitness routines and a wonderful way to get started on core fitness if you are a beginner.

Good product!
I know it looks cheap but it works. The idea of adding the phone to make it a game is an excellent idea. My wife is usually very critical “gadgets” like this but she loves it. I now use it because the games are cool.

30-Day UPDATE: Fantastic!
UPDATE after 30 days of daily use …This thing is really a great tool for exercising your core. The people that are saying that it’s too expensive for what it is, you can tape your phone to a memory ball, etc. … They are missing the whole point! ANYTHING works if you actually use it and stick with it over a period of time. A lot of people invent exercise gadgets, and a lot of them are very ingenious. But they’re only as good as the consistency with which you will use them.Ever been addicted to Planks? I doubt it. But this product will actually get you addicted to planks.I set my duration for 1 minute and 15 seconds. I keep the unit near my bed, so as soon as I get up, I have NO EXCUSE to not do 1:15 of a simple exercise to get my day started, and I love it. I would never do it if it depended on me staring at the clock waiting for it to be over.In my case, I do it again after I shower, then again when I get home from work, and a few times before bed (total 10 minutes/day.) There’s no way I would have EVER done 10 minutes of planks EVERY DAY for a month without the combination of this product and its app. Those 1:15’s add up, and I have read that multiple short plank sessions give better results than fewer, longer ones. That’s the real unadvertised secret of this thing. After 30 days, I know my core is stronger. The evidence is my posture. I’m 56 years old, and I have had a few people actually tell me I have lost weight, but I haven’t, at least recently. But I’m standing up straighter and stronger, and I don’t even realize it. That’s why people think I look better. Now, I’m going to bump up my cardio and try to get a six-pack.I like that they offer it at different price levels and countries of manufacture; I wish other companies did the same. It’s nice to have that choice. To me, this product is worth every penny.Original Review …Opened the box, installed the app, and started using it. Very nice product, quality build. The workouts can be pretty tough, depending on how long you go. Is it expensive? I guess so … But it does take time and money to create and maintain the software, so it kind of makes sense. Could you use a piece of wood balanced on a rock instead, and steal their app anyway? Sure, but why? It’s a small price to pay for a great core workout.

To be honest, I didn’t have particularly high hopes for this, I was hoping it would encourage me to do a few extra planks but I didn’t expect to actively enjoy it!It’s hard work and more difficult than a static plank because of the moving surface but because you’re engrossed in the game you make the effort for far longer than you would do otherwise. Can really feel it working the abs, legs and arms. Not just another gimmicky piece of home equipment that will end up in the loft, this is a real bit of work out kit that’s actually fun into the bargain.

When I bought this I thought it was going to be another one of those gimmicky workout things I buy, use once, and never touch, all with the best of intentions and dreams. I have to say, this pleasantly surprised me! Not that I had super low expectations, but they definitely weren’t high. I LOVE this thing. Why do I love it?:-I’m competitive so if you add a scoring system or a leader board, I buy in-It’s comfortable, not super awkward, and is just the right height off the ground (for me) to use without the pain that typically comes with these types of things-It adds just that little bit of mental stimulation I need when working out to keep me interested-It’s challenging! It’s not so hard that I can’t do it, and not so difficult that I don’t want to do it. It really does hurt in the way a good workout is supposed to hurtWhat don’t I like about it?-It’s huge and doesn’t store super well due to it’s shape (not a big deal for me, but home workout gear should be easy to store, right?)-The app is not amazing. While it definitely adds a layer to a typically boring plank workout, I would like to see a lot more game types! That’s it. All in all, the size and poor app do not take away from the fact that if planking is your game, this is a great way to do it!
