Great for spin bikes
I can now used my mountain bike pedals (shimano SPD) on my spin bike whenever the weather doesn’t let me ride outside.

Only suited for use on a stationary exercise bike.
These are sold as Shimano SPD pedals suitable for indoor stationary bikes or mountain bikes. I cannot recommend them for real-world outdoor use. They seem OK for an indoor exercise bike. The deficiencies for a mountain bike or any bike ridden outside on roads or trails are numerous. These pedals are unusually heavy, weighing 12.6 oz. apiece as delivered, 10.3 oz. apiece with the toe clips and straps removed. Unlike most SPD pedals they do not come with SPD cleats for your cycling shoes. The pedals do not rotate freely on their axles, there is considerableresistance and friction. The combination of toe clips on one side and SPD cleats on the other does not make sense for a bike that will be ridden outdoors: you cannot use the SPD side because the toe clips hit the ground. So you can either use these as clip-and-strap pedals only in which case there is no point to having the weight of the SPD side, or remove the clips and straps and use them as flat pedals on one side and SPD on the other in which case there is no point in getting the clips and straps in the first place. These pedals are handy on a stationary exercise bike, allowing you to use either ordinary shoes or bike shoes with mountain SPD cleats. On a stationary bike the weight does not matter and, on our exercise bike, the toe clips and straps do not scrape the floor.

Versatile Pedals
I use these on a spin bike. I like to use my shoes that clip into the SPD side, but I have family members that use the baskets. Installation was easy, as is adjusting the tension for the SPD clips. I suppose you could use these on a mountain bike, but the baskets will likely hit/scarpe the ground if using the SPD side. So far so good!
