    Best Value in Resistance Bands
These are not the cheapest bands by any stretch of the imagination but they do offer a solid value and are very good quality.I own a lot of resistance bands. Including bands from Rep, Rouge, and X3. These bans are equal in quality to my X3 and Rouge bands at a much more reasonable price. I liked them so much that I now own multiple sets in different lengths.

    Great Workout!
I’ve been using resistance tubes with handles and wanted to give flat-style loop bands a try. I’ve been using this set for almost two weeks. The first thing I noticed is the powdery substance on the bands as noted by other reviewers. That cleans easily with water and soap. These bands are strong and function well as either a single looped band, e.g., for bicep curls, or as doubled loop bands, e.g. for dead lifts. I do wear gloves when using these bands to help reduce pressure on my hands. I can vary the resistance I get the same way I do using a tube, by stepping back further from the anchor point or by widening my feet when I step on the band. I can also increase resistance by adding a second or third tube to my tube handle but using a combination of flat bands puts too much pressure on my hands. So, I found I can simple grab the flat band closer to the anchor or to my feet and get more resistance that way. Easy. Props for not having to spend time swapping out tubes to my tube handles. I do have some arthritis in my hands and do find it a bit difficult to grab both the bands and the tube handles. I also have a bar that I can loop the bands around to mimic the popular band/bar system I see advertised here and there. The bar seems to provide some more stability to my movement over both the tubes and the bands being used alone. Overall, I like these bands and my use them and the tubes together during a workout depending on what works best for me.

Not cheap for a bunch of over-sized rubber bands, but I’m happy with the product
I’m very happy with this set of 6 resistance/power bands. I purchased them to use for warming up, working smaller muscles, and for increasing mobility in my shoulder after an injury. The orange and purple bands are really good for stretching, warmup before weight lifting, and rehab/mobility work. I think those bands are essential and get used the most, especially the orange band. The red and blue are good if you want to push things further after warming up on the orange and purple. The green and especially the black are very thick, so you can’t do as many exercises with them, but they seem to work well to reduce your body weight when doing pullups or dips or for excercises where the thickness of the band does not interfere with the movement. The thick bands can provide a pretty challenging workout, similar to using weights. You will easily be dripping sweat after a good workout with these. Keep in mind that there are other styles of bands like mini ones that you put around your thighs (very popular with women), round ones with handles, or even ones that clamp onto a barbell. Watch some youtube videos on resistance bands and make sure this is the style you need for your workouts. There’s also some negatives, but it pertains mostly to this entire class of product. Being made of latex rubber, these bands do not feel good when they rub over your skin especially if there’s hair, so you have to find ways to do the exercises without the bands rubbing against yourself. They also have a smell to them. You will smell like latex after you touch them and so will the room. I suspect the smell will not go away, but they are a little less bad now then on day 1. They also came lightly dusted in some kind of white powder. I didn’t want it all over me, so I washed/wiped it off. Also, I was a little worried that I would get a reaction to the latex, which I do sometimes, but I haven’t so far and these are supposed to have most of the protein purified out.

Very durable and zero problems after using for over a year
I bought these bands in March of 2020 after I was unable to buy plates for my new Rogue rack. I did some initial research, and the Serious Steel bands seemed to have overall very favorable reviews. These bands have stood the test of time for me…. very durable, no worries about breakage, etc. I compared them to the bands at my gym after we reopened….Rogue & Wodfitters…very comparable, although there is a slight difference in “stretchyness” between the bands…. the Serious Steel bands seem to be a bit more rigid. I am looking at buying a set of Undersun Fitness/James Grage bands as his videos are so helpful and I would like to support that. The bands have over time developed a chalky film on the surface, but it washed off easily. I would say that overall I am very pleased with these bands, and you really can develop a complete workout routine and build muscle… check out James Grage and Jeff Cavalier… they have excellent vids on ways of “duplicating” traditional weight training, and putting less stress on joints.I have been weight training for many years, and I must say I have been able to get really good workout with the bands, if I use the correct techniques to achieve activation. Hope these comments help!

    Substantial bands
We have a gym in our yogurt and we do use resistance bands for many of our back movements. Since you can’t have all the best gym equipment in your home gym, unless you have $$$$ these bands are a great substitute for such equipment. My husband had me buy these bands out of all the bands I was looking at, because they were highly rated on many fitness instructors. They will get their official break in our next workout.

These layered bands are amazing. Don’t be fooled. There are lots of non layered overpriced Chinese knock offs here. These are the real deal.

They arrived properly packaged and in perfect condition. This is my 5th purchase of Serious Steel bands. I know from experience that they need a warm soapy wash upon removal from the bag. I did this to remove the powder probably latex and all is fine. Serious Steel quality has been maintained over the years. My first purchase was in mid 2023. These are my go to loop bands for the 41″ category. They do offer top resistance and for those just starting out probably do not require the green band unless you are already a powerful weighlifter. I own the full set of 20″ bands and the first five 41″ bands on the resistance scale. I own two of each. I always use very large carabiners that are mounted on wall studs. Carabiners are 7″ size and very well polished this method will prevent wear on the bands. i use my bands 5 days per week. I also use a curling bar to do pull downs from overhead mounted dual carabiners. I do stand up curls with a standard 1″ curling bar. I never use fancy bars that can cost $200 or more that have collar hooks mounted on each end of the bar. I simply place the band in the centre of the bar and that works well. If you have only small bands simply stack the bands on the curling bar to amp up the resistance. If we take care of our bands they will not snap. Only use bands with polished steel bars or carabiner anchors that are round. Never use the fabric door anchors that are abrasive to the band. Do not pinch bands under your feet if there is concrete under the band. I use mine on indoor carpet or a WII board that I got for free. Yes, I am 6’1″ that is why I use the 41″ bands.

I used Undersun for a while but they started snapping – and the thickest ones too, not even the thin ones. No response from them, good marketing with zero customer support.Serious Steel feel much better and size for size, provide much more resistance. I haven’t used the thinnest of the 3, wish it was half the size it is for very light things like lateral raises. Took some work to wash off the sticky coating though – I took them into the shower in the end!

So at first, I wrote a really bad review for these straps, but I have since changed my tune after getting a bit more educated. We did some emails back and forth, and this one is helpful and included the image above, which matches my bands too. I can’t go 5 stars because the first night of itchy eyes was really annoying, because I didn’t actually realise what had caused it at first. They should give a warning and cleaning tips or something…From Serious Steel”You would not be able to see the layers from the side, but below is a picture of what the seam would look like on the inside and outside:image.pngThere is a natural “powder” on the bands. This is to protect the latex, which is naturally brittle. It will go away or be minimized after a couple of uses, but you can also wash the bands (without compromising the bands integrity). We recommend soaping up a washcloth with dish soap, running the band through a couple of times and rinsing. There is always a little extra straight from the factory so that transit and storage do not compromise the bands (they may sit for months from manufacture until used). To help add to the life of the bands, you can also add a silicone based lubrication every few months. That stuff can be messy and so be conservative with the amounts.Hope this helps, but please never hesitate with any questions, concerns or needs.”
