A must for plant based protein
For the price, this is just about the best protein you’re going to find. As most things in life, there are some pros and cons.I will elaborate on the pros: #1 Protein yield, a mere 31 gram serving size yields 25 grams of protein, that’s roughly an 81% protein yield for plant based protein (very good)! #2 Promix contains a fantastic amino acid profile. No need to buy additional BCAA’s or EAA’s, it’s likely more than covered in the protein mix. #3 the protein mixes well. I use water, and I have not had any clumping. #4 taste, I rather enjoy the taste of the protein. It’s not sweet, but the chocolate powder comes through without an after taste. #5 the minimal amount of ingredients. There are no fillers or fluff, and that’s partially why the protein yield is so high.Cons: #1 this is more of a personal complaint than a con, I wish they would list the percentage of the type of protein they use. The label list Organic Pea Protein and Organic Sprouted Brown Rice. I’d simply like to know the actual percentages. I’m assuming there is more Pea protein, but who knows. #2 not for me but for some, the taste may not be sweet enough.Overall, this compares well with some of the highest animal based proteins on the market, and the price is reasonable. I would love to see them add a “greens” profile to really complete this already outstanding protein.

My new favorite
When I opened the package some powder got on my fingers, I licked it and was pleasantly surprised how sweet and vanilla the flavor was. Most protein powders taste bland and chalky dry but this had a great flavor. In a smoothie even better. Great macros compared to other powders and I’ve noticed zero bloat or stomach sensitivity.

Would NOT BUY
This is probably one of the worst protein powders I have ever had! Both the taste and the texture were disgusting. The taste is so fake and overly sweet and the texture was either clumpy or extra thick. I tried many ways to try and get this protein powder to work (in just milk, water, smoothie, yogurt) and nothing covered the nasty taste! Very disappointed 😩

Best chocolate vegan protein I’ve had so far.
Protein powders are a dime a dozen it seems. Some taste great and some are just awful. This one is pretty good. I’m partial to whey protein sources, but wanted to venture out and have a vegan source of protein. The first bag I received tasted delicious. On par with some of the better whey protein mixes I’ve had. And it mixed really well.Concurrent bags though, I’ve noticed a slight difference in both taste and mixability. The taste has a subtle aftertaste I didn’t notice with the first bag, though not bad. And now the powder kind of settles after mixing. I have to re-shake every 10-15 seconds to re-suspend the mix. Not the end of the world but a little annoying.I like that the ingredients are pretty straightforward, no filler. And the number of servings is very fair for the price and quality. The mix comes in a bag instead of a tub that I prefer, but it’s barely an inconvenience.

Super clean powder, not for the feint of palate
I opted to begin using a plant derived protein supplement because whey powders were just tormenting my stomach. This was one of the few complete protein options that includes both pea as well as brown rice proteins in one formula and is free of artificial ingredients and added sugars. So as far as the health profile it is an 5-star powder that leaves my stomach feeling normal.Where I take issue with the product is the taste. I wasn’t expecting this to taste great from the outset, it is unflavored after all and I’ve tried a lot of unflavored powders in my day. Unlike other reviewers I found the taste to be overbearing no matter what is mixed into it.My primary purpose for buying unflavored is to avoid sugars altogether, so having to add a number of other things to mask a strong unsavory flavor sure feels counter productive. For myself a clean protein is the most important factor so I don’t mind chugging this like a tequila shot, but if you are sensitive to icky flavors and/or are looking for something that’s tastes decent and blends well with other ingredients this is probably not it.UPDATE: After months of regular use I became more accustomed to the taste of this protein and did not have the same reflexive response to it that I did during the initial trial period. I tried a variety of fruits and vegetable mix-ins and found a simple recipe of a banana with cacao powder was the best combo to take the pea-ness down a notch.

Awesome product, very satisfied
Awesome product. I bought the unflavored protein and have no problem with the taste, but I’m not very big on taste when it comes to my health. I have tried worse tasting proteins and this is good considering how clean it is. As I’ve taken it more, I’m on my 4th or 5th tub, I’ve grown to like it and have no problem with the taste at all. I can take it plain, nothing but water. Mixes well by itself and doesn’t overpower other ingredients you mix it with. There’s only 3 ingredients, brown rice protein, pea protein and vitamin B. No added sugars, sweeteners, flavors or preservatives which is awesome considering other ” health ” products do. It’s definitely a good bargain considering you get more servings (78) than dollars you spend ($55-$60). I also like that each serving has 25 grams of protein and only 115 calories. I haven’t found another vegan product with a bette, or even comparable, serving/price ratio and the protein/calorie ratio of the vegan promix. Very satisfied and will continue to use. If there is a knock against this product……… the powder is so fine that it can get kinda messy if you’re not careful. Not a big deal at all, barely worth mentioning but I wanted to be honest and give as much info as I could. If you’re looking for a clean vegan protein with ingredients that you can actually pronounce give promix a try.
