Tight tendons physical therapy
We bought this for my 5 year old for his tight Achilles tendons for at home physical therapy which I do myself (mom). It’s perfect. Very solid construction, non slip, and gives great range of motion. I physically rock him back and forth since his balance is still maturing, but it was a great addition to his routine in stretching his tendons. Just be warned, the non slip grips will ruin socks (pulls fibers apart) and do not use on laminate. We use a square patch of carpet for traction.

Truly high quality product
The build of this rocker board reminds me of some products from my youth that were made to LAST. The 12-ply standing board is 5/8 inch thick. The rockers, also constructed of thin-ply material, are 1 7/8 inches thick and lift the bottom of the board 2 1/4 inches from the floor. The rockers allow for more motion than the board which I’ve been using at out-patient therapy–for me, a very good thing. I can’t tell by just looking, but I’m guessing that the rockers are attached to the standing board by screws, the heads of which are hidden by the black friction strips. There is ample standing room; no feeling of being cramped. Worth the price and a pleasure to own.

Not for everyone
Buyers should be aware that the base of this board is higher than others, at least the ones I’ve used in physical therapy and gym. Thus it feels dangerously unstable for those, like me, who are recovering from ankle surgery. It’s more of a balance board; if you don’t have full ankle flexion you can’t make the board hit the floor. Plus it’s very slippery on a wood floor. It is well and sturdily made, however.

Worth it for in-home physical therapy exercises
Worth every penny! We are using this and the FitterFirst 20 inch Tri-Level Pro Rocker Board to deal with a peripheral neuropathy issue, and it’s really helping. Doing exercises on these two rocker boards and using elastic bands are helping improve balance and strength in legs. It’s really done wonders. At first, I thought these two rocker boards were too pricey, but now I can see that they are really worth it. If you need to do physical therapy exercises at home and you have a similar peripheral neuropathy issue, buy this product. You’ll be glad you did.

Don’t waste your money on it
It stands too high, angles too much, and is hard to stand upon without falling. Don’t waste your money on it.

A Rocker that Slides too.
I am a Physical Therapist and I purchased the Rocker for a patient to use as a tool to work on his balance. Unfortunately the base of the rocker is a very smooth wood that slides on the tile floor. I ended putting it between to put it in between the treadmill and the bike so they can hold on to the bars for support so they don’t slide. Even a person without a balance deficit would find this a difficult tool to use. I would not recommend it unless you had parallel bars to safely put it in between.

Great Rocker Board
Very sturdy and effective. My husband had weakened ankles due to knee problems. After knee replacement surgery, his physical therapist recommended using a rocker board to improve his balance and strengthen his ankles. It has worked great and he plans to use the rocker for a long time since it gives his ankles and calves a good stretch in the morning. This particular rocker is very strong and sturdy with good gripping pads on top to avoid slipping.
