Pretty good watch for the price
Nice watch, doesn’t look cheap at all the functions work well/snappy the only problem was that app GPS. It kept shutting off on my 10 mile bike ride. That’s the only issue. I’m not sure why It happened. Maybe a phone call, I only received one a out half way on my ride which was around 4 ro 5 miles when I was done it said I road less the 1 mile.I’m going to try it again and if it works well I will remove this post to not miss lead anyone. Other then that I love the watch for the price.

An Excellent Upgrade
I bought this as a replacement for my older VeryFit Pro watch. It has ended up being an excellent upgrade. The larger screen and added features are a nice surprise as well. I like the extended battery life too.

Not at all accurate
The watch has a nice design, is easy to set up, and sync to my phone. It does not seem to come even remotely close to accurately counting steps and calories. Compared to the Apple fitness app, the watch greatly over counts the steps I take and under counts calories burned. The accuracy of this watch leaves a lot to be desired and is basically useless aside from telling me the time. Would not recommend.

Heck yeah!
I have a referee watch that is fantastic. It does everything I needed to do Except it’s not a smart watch and so it doesn’t track my mileage my steps et cetera.Sam SamsungSam Sam what some of watch but never pulled the trigger…I went with this watch after using a Lesser version that my son had that I really enjoyed. This watch has been so great!Everything I need to supplement my referee watch and now I get to find out how many steps how many calories I’ve burned And how many miles I’ve run in a day of refereeing soccer So happy I went withSo happy I went with this for a much cheaper cost

Great smart watch. Very happy.

It’s good looking. I ordered blue. The colour is really very dark blue–so dark I mistook it for black. But I like it.Installing the watch and configuring the app is a much simpler procedure than I have seen in other fitness watches like this. They have streamlined and explained it well in the guide. I put the watch on charge when I unboxed it and found that it was already at 100%. That’s a welcome bonus. The included QuickStart instruction booklet is terrific. This is the first fitness watch I’ve tried that has a booklet that is printed with readable size text, covers all the basics, and includes QR codes to download the necessary app and also an online very complete manual. Extra points for that! The watch band is fine and has a neat design that tucks the extra band underneath. But I had a lot of trouble getting the band end tucked under when my skin was damp like after a workout. I basically gave up and left the watch off for a while.Heart rate measurement is pretty accurate. The heart rate variability feature is great and is the first time I have seen this on a budget watch. There’s no blood pressure measuring feature but that’s fine because these low end fitness watches never give accurate BP measurements anyway. The Steps count seems over-estimated to me.The sleep tracking seemed right on the money to me.The touch sensitive display doesn’t respond well to my fingers. I have to swipe repeatedly and sometimes it doesn’t respond at all. (I really hate touch sensitive screens.)I like to use the “Raise to Wake” (wrist flick to see time) display feature on the watch. The downside is I couldn’t find a way to automatically disable that during the DND period like when I am asleep. This ruins the sleep pattern monitoring feature for me because I have to remove the watch overnight to avoid being woken up by the bright screen flash. It uses the more or less standard VeryFit app which is great rather than downloading yet another different app.On the downside VeryFit wants to charge me for “premium” stuff like more watch faces and presumably additional features. I skipped all that and I found that the supplied features are fine for me.So this product is improved over earlier watches in a number of ways but still has problems they need to fix that will prevent me from using it regularly.

My wife was looking for a smart watch that could more or less be used as a pedometer so we gave this a try. Not only did it deliver as a pedometer, it also offers many more great features. This watch offers some pretty great features for the price. The only noticeable exception would be a blood pressure monitor which many smart watches in this price point do have. This watch will allow you to track your heart rate, sleep duration and quality, blood oxygen level and steps taken using the pedometer feature. You can also track calories burned while setting and recording fitness goals from a variety of activity options.Downloading the “Very Fit” app and syncing the watch to your smartphone is very simple and is highly recommended if you want to get the most out of this watch. Along with more in-depth heath analytics, you can also make and receive phone calls, control music apps (like Spotify), see text message notifications and check the local weather forecast. There’s more, you can also set a stopwatch/timer and alarm, use the watchface as a flashlight torch and even find your phone if it is misplaced. There is also a menstrual cycle tracking feature for women. Not only are the features great, but this is actually a really nice, simple looking watch design that is very lightweight and the silicone strap is quite comfortable. So far the battery life has been very good – my wife has been wearing this for about 5-7 days using just about every feature before the next charging session. It takes about 2 hours to go from a drained battery to fully charged.Overall this is a great watch, having features you will need to generally pay much more for. I highly recommend if you want a very reasonably priced smart watch with many great features!

This review is for the Octandra Smart Watch based on the IDW16 design. It comes with a user’s guide, which is very well written and detailed compared to other watches I have tested. Also included is a watch band which you must install yourself. Fortunately, easy steps are described in the guide along with pictures. There is also a magnetic USB charging cable. You will need to use a USB port from your laptop or PC or from your own 5V charger as one is not included. This watch uses 22mm lugs, so you can fit any other strap that fits this size. When trying to power the watch for the first time, nothing happened. It did not turn ON even after repeatedly trying. I thought I had received a dead watch. You will need to charge the watch to activate it for the first time. After I plugged the cable to a USB power source, the display came ON finally and showed me a 98% charge. From that point, you will be instructed to install an app. You will be unable to use the watch unless you install the app for the first time. This is one area that I do not like as I believe any smart watch should allow you to use basic features out of the box like many of the other watches I have tested.I proceeded to installing the VeryFit app on my phone, pairing Bluetooth to allow communication with the app and going through the setup. I already had an account so I skipped the registration part. You will need to do so otherwise if it is the first time you use the app and have not created an account yet.Once app is installed and phone is paired, the app will activate the watch allowing you to use its feature moving forward, even without the app or phone, however the app is recommended as it unlocks some detailed data and functionality that is not available on the watch alone due to its limited memory. It also allows you to configure settings you cannot do with the watch such as setting notifications, syncing contacts, changing watch faces, upgrading firmware, enabling or disabling tracking and health features and more. With the app you can also track activity and health across days, weeks, months, etc, compared to only day to day with watch alone. It appears the the VeryFit app has become very unstable and unreliable for quite some time now with issues such as network connection errors, unable to log in, failure to sync data, etc. I wanted to change the default watch faces, there are plenty you can download from the app, even free ones, but none work, when I click on any watch faces and free installation button, I get to this screen where thee is a “removed” grayed out button. It was impossible for me to install any faces at the time of writing this. Many of the functions of the watch also did not work due to errors that I must connect with the app, even though I was already paired for both call audio and data. Features such as syncing contacts, weather and more did not work.I was able to test functions that did work without relying on app. But first, on this watch there is a more noticeable lag when swiping on the display, more so than other models like the IDW19. This is a minor detail though. You can track activity, steps, health and more, and like all other smart watches, they rely on light sensors, PPG technology and motion sensing, so the accuracy is limited by the technology and wrist only placement. Accuracy is also affected by skin colour and movement during activities, since light shines through the skin. For my first tests, I have tried activity and steps monitoring, and the results were similar to all other watches I have tested before. Inaccurate. Using the app when tracking CAN provide better results but it is still not quite as accurate as expected. For steps, the results are way off. Nothing can be as accurate as a dedicated tracker placed on your leg. On smart watches, steps are sensed by motion. When we walk we swing our arms to different levels. For brisk walking, swinging is wider, and this is what the watch is sensitive to and seems to deliver better results. For normal walking with narrow swings, most steps will not register if any. Steps can also be registered even sitting down or lying down if the correct motion is sensed. There is no way to manually reset data without a full factory reset. You have to wait for the next day for the data to reset for that specific day only. For all other activity tracking functions it is the same, and it cannot be relied upon as it overestimates calories burned and other data.Moving on the health monitoring, heart rate monitoring proved to be fairly accurate within a margin of error of <3%. Several readings were compared against an OMRON and manual pulse measurements using fingers as well. Our pulse rate does change from one reading to another, so I have done simultaneous testing and results were within a very acceptable margin, comparable to other electronic devices. Blood oxygen saturation (SpO2) also delivered fairly accurate results <3% of margin of error, as compared to an Oxymeter, again very acceptable and reliable. In any case any health data should be taken as a reference and should not be relied upon to diagnose any medical conditions. When measuring your heart rate, there is an HRV function on this watch. This is a function I have not seen in other watches, and it measures the interval time between heart beats, which is the equivalent of the R-R interval on an ECG. Not exactly the same as the heart rate as this measures the average number of heart beats, the HRV measures the interval between consecutive beats. Of course the interval will be shorter if your heart beats fast and wider if your heart beats slower. The results are in milliseconds, Of course more accurate results can be obtained from a medical ECG.Finally, I tested the sleep function which tracks your total sleep time, awake times, sleep stages and more. I like this function because it allows you to also monitor your heart rate and blood oxygen as well at set intervals. Make sure these functions are enabled first through the app or they will not be tracked. For the most part, the results were pretty accurate as far as sleep and awake times. For the stages, the only way to compare is to do study at a sleep clinic using dedicated medical equipment. The only way to accurately measure sleep stages is through brain waves. This watch cannot measure brain waves so it uses other ways to provided results, and accuracy will vary. You cannot use the sleep functions to diagnose sleep disorders, so the data is for reference only, but the other health data tracked during sleep is fairly accurate. You can use the watch to receive and make calls and the quality is good both ways and comparable to my phone. You can also receive notifications (if enabled through the app) and sync contacts (in theory) although I've not been able to download the contacts to my watch due to the very buggy app and/or watch. There are other functions like weather, that tell me I need to connect to my app, yet I am already connected, since other app functions do work. The watch build quality is good, it has lots of features you would expect, unfortunately it is reliant on the app to set up, and activity / steps tracking falls short of my expectations, but it's no surprise given the limits of the technology when it comes to light sensing and wrist placement. For fitness and steps tracking where accurate results are preferred, I would not recommend this. If however, you just want a watch to do hands free calling and receiving notifications, these functions work quite well on this watch as does health tracking such as heart rate and blood oxygen saturation during rest, activity or sleep.
