Great for physical therapy, not for major workouts
This is designed for people who need to keep legs moving beneath a desk or coming out of physical therapy. It is electric and move pedals for someone who cannot, while able to be pedals against some very low impedance.I actually had some knee problems and was doing self PT as per MD instructions and was a serious cyclist /runner at one point. As I need to convert from one type of exercise I have been managing, this is great for me as I needed very gentle, no knee pressure items but my knees cannot take any actual cycling without extreme swelling. So this is my next phase of PT.I personally qpuld not use for a ‘workout’, but if it fits under desk, I may keep as an automated way to keep my feel moving.

Great for Physical Therapy
I have no cartilage left in either of my knees, which causes constant pain. The only thing I can do at this point, is to strengthen my knees. Unfortunately, after standing for more than 10 minutes, the pain is so severe I feel like passing out. This helps me to build up those muscles and keep them from getting too stiff, without putting pressure on them by standing during workouts. This little machine replaces a different, similar style under the desk bike. When I say replaces, I should say upgraded, because this one is much better quality than what I had, and it works much better. I am very happy with this, its great for PT.

Great for when you’re at your desk, or even at home watching telly. The legs on the machine help keep it in place when pushing the pedals. The different settings are similar to the gears on a bike, in that they alternate how much resistance you’ll feel when pedalling. It’s great that you can also use it to strengthen your arms too.

SÉRÉNITÉ –
Ce mini-vélo électrique (partie basse de pédalage) est destiné à tous ceux qui veulent faire un peu d’exercice à leur domicile. Il est indiqué en cas de besoin de rééducation des membres supérieurs ou inférieurs. En effet, il peut être aussi bien utilisé pour le haut que pour le bas du corps !Il arrive en kit mais le montage des bases et des pédales est relativement aisé (attention cependant de ne pas inverser les pédales au montage).On peut choisir parmi les 5 modes de fonctionnement possibles qui proposent un temps de fonctionnement pouvant aller de 10 à 30 minutes suivant l’option choisie ….. Tout est décrit dans la notice en français qui accompagne l’appareil mais le mieux encore est de tester les différents programmes et de choisir celui le mieux adapté à soi.Toutefois, il est conseiller de s’échauffer un peu avant l’utilisation de l’appareil ……Dommage, le câble électrique de 1,5 m demande de placer le mini-vélo à proximité d’une prise électrique.Attention : il ne s’agit pas vraiment d’un vélo d’appartement et le tempo de pédalage est dicté par le programme, sinon on est obligé de le faire fonctionner manuellement et la connexion électrique, dans ce cas-là ne sert plus à rien !Les matériaux utilisés pour sa conception sont globalement de bonne qualité et, si on n’est pas de nature « brutale », il devrait être un appareil durable.A l’utilisation, j’en suis contente mais au vu des limites techniques affichées par l’appareil, je trouve néanmoins que son rapport qualité-prix est quand même exagéré à près de 170 € !

The bike came next day. I was assembling it when the left pedal will not screw in place, I thought there was something wrong with the pedal but then I realised it had two RIGHT CRANKS on it, both cranks had R on the inner side. Quality control does not exist. I contacted amazon and they were quick to react and refunded me the money, and they didn’t want the bike back??I would like to update my review; I bought a pair of cranks to try to repair it and I did, but only a few weeks later, after very light use it smoked, and stopped working. This time there was only one thing to do; take to the recycling centre. I strongly recommend against buying this item.
