Now I Can Ride My Stationary Bike BAREFOOT!
I was excited to hop on my new Caromix Stationary Bike after the hour plus assembly, to find out I would need to wear shoes to use the pedals that came with the bike. The pedals had hard unforgiving ridges on the surface, a weird cage that surrounded your foot and then a strap with a crazy buckle. The front of each pedal had yellow reflectors, I guess in case I was riding at night and one of the cats didn’t see me riding next to the sofa? I didn’t want all that nonsense deterring me from jumping on the bike barefoot at any hour and getting my 20 or 30 minutes in. Within minutes of putting the bike together, I figured out how to remove the intrusive cage and strap. But I still needed to have flip flops nearby to ride the darn thing because of the painful ridges. Annoying… SO! I was on the hunt for replacement pedals. No where in the instructions was any indication on the size of the threads. With the help of You Tube, I learned how you can easily tell. Remove one of the Pedals, and stick the end of a USB A Cable inside the crank arm opening. If it fits, you need a 9/16 thread, if it doesn’t fit you need a 1/2 thread. I needed a 9/16. This is probably the most common for these types of bikes. There were two pedals on Amazon that I considered. Both were about the same price and had equivalent positive Reviews. One has the gray crescent moon detailing on the surface and this MARQUE Exercise Bike Pedal with Straps is a solid black. Given that my bike is mostly black with a bit of lime green accent, I went with this option. I also love the versatility of the strap. I used the inside slot on the pedal (see photo) so my BARE FOOT fits perfectly positioned on the pedal. The surface is slightly textured so I have a good comfortable grip with my toes. They are a good weight and a solid fit in the crank arm. Remember, always screw the right pedal clockwise and the left pedal COUNTER clockwise so you don’t strip the threads! You can see in my photos how clean this pedal looks compared to the old pedal – with and without the cage/strap. In case anyone is looking for a new stationary bike I highly recommend this Caromix Bike on Amazon (Review to Come…) Unless you plan to gear up with fancy shoes to burn some calories, do yourself a favor and add these awesome MARQUE pedals! Hope this review helps at least one fellow barefoot rider!!

Very easy to use, well-advertised and good value. Nice strap options. Reasons below.
So easy to install. The pictures and details were spot on. Really like the straps that are easier to adjust than others. Many sizing options. The value/cost is good. $25 for a pair of pedals. Wish the axle/spindle was a little longer. They can be a bit stubby on some bikes but fit on our Exerpeutic bike. Best replacement pedal option we found. Spend the extra time be sure that you order the correct size. Well-packaged. 100% worth it.Note: We were not compensated in any way for this unbiased opinion. No one should be.

    Lasted about 1.5 years.
We bought these in Sept. of ’23 to replace the shoe-specific pedals on our Peloton. They’ve worked pretty well for the time they lasted. My weight ranges from about 225-235 lbs, and my wife is around 110. These pedals were probably used about 2-3 times per week on average. I don’t have a good reference point to know if that’s a good duration, but for $23 I’d say we got our money’s worth. They came apart today, separating at the bearings. Nothing broke loose in a dangerous way, I just felt it disconnect from the bearings but the pedal stayed on the central rod that supports it. I’ll probably buy a different product though, just to see how they compare. I hope this has been helpful!

I have an older Proform stationary bike. These pedals fit exact and are a good upgrade.
