I’m not a huge supplement guy, but as I get older I have started to feel myself go downhill and decided to try some things….. As I am approaching 50, a prostate supplement just made sense so I bout this Saw Palmetto and American Ginseng product from Jung Kwan Jang and have been taking it for a few days now.The combination of Saw Palmetto and American Ginseng in this supplement is a great combination. Saw Palmetto is renowned for its prostate benefits, and the inclusion of American Ginseng adds an extra layer of support. I’ve noticed a small improvement in my overall well-being since incorporating this product into my daily routine- maybe it’s a mental thing- but it seems to make me feel better if just a little bit.What I appreciate most about this supplement is its natural composition. It’s free from harsh chemicals and additives, which is a must for me when it comes to my health. The only negative so far is that the capsules are not easy to swallow and do have kind of an unpleasant aftertaste. But as long as I take it with a good amount of liquid and it doesn’t get stuck in my throat that shouldn’t be a problem.It’s important to note that individual results may vary, but I can genuinely say that this supplement has made a positive difference in my life. I will continue to use it as a part of my daily routine to support my prostate health as I am certainly not getting and younger!

I don’t drink as much alcohol as I used to, and when I do drink, two ore more in one night is enough to make me not feel great the next day. Aging, am I right? I still enjoy occasional social drinking with friends and was looking for a way to enjoy an evening with friends and not feel sub-human the next day. I had read that milk thistle has liver-protecting properties. Research points to its effectiveness protecting against toxins, reducing inflammation, and reducing damage caused by free radicals. There is no research that it lessens the effect of hangovers though. Still, due to the liver protecting properties, I wanted to try incorporating milk thistle into my easy regimen after indulging in alcohol. More importantly, this supplement includes ginseng which HAS been shown to reduce hangover symptoms. So that further helped my decision to try this. I also did some research on this brand because I want to have some trust in companies that produce supplements because there’s little regulation on supplements in the USA. Jung Kwan Jang is a leader in cultivating high-quality ginseng for over 120 years and is known for their research and development.So, how does this supplement make me feel? Well, I believe it contributes to helping me feel better than I’d normally feel after having a few drinks, but for full transparency, this is just one part of small regimen of things I take, so I can’t say for sure how this supplement alone works. After a night where I’ve had drinks, I take one capsule of this along with some natural electrolyte drops in a large glass of water, a vitamin B capsule and 2 aspirin. I am certain that those things combined make me feel so much better than just taking one or two of those items. Even if the milk thistle doesn’t assist in helping me feel better, I feel good knowing that it may help in fighting damage that the toxins from alcohol can cause. Add in that it has ginseng, which is shown to help lessen the effect of hangovers, I feel like I’ve made a good decision. Lastly, with all supplements – make sure you DO YOUR RESEARCH! Some studies have shown that milk thistle reduces blood sugar which you should be aware of if you’re diabetic.

It works!!
I have overactive bladder and was hoping this would help. It’s been 5 days and I haven’t noticed a difference in my urgency yet. However, I have had more energy this week even though I’ve hardly been drinking any coffee because I’m trying to cut back and realized it’s from the American Ginseng in this product. So that’s been really nice. This is coming from someone who has ordered thousands of dollars in products trying to get energy that I gave up on trying to achieve that goal a year ago. I wasn’t even expecting that from this but it’s been a nice bonus. Overall, I can recommend this product. If it helps with my bladder, I will update my review.Update: As far as the energy effect from these pills… that only lasted a week and then for the next week after that I felt pretty tired? so I stopped taking them. I do have MTHFR (my body can’t properly detox) so I think it’s because of that. I have found other energy pills over the years and after a week or so, they stopped working as well. So I think it’s more of a me problem. However, I am also prone to UTIs and whatever UTI flare up I had before taking these… it’s gone! For the past few weeks, I was going to the bathroom 5-15 times a night before I could eventually fall asleep which was driving me nuts and now… I usually fall asleep pretty quickly or I use the restroom once. It’s been like that for weeks now so clearly whatever I had, this cleared it up! I have tried many cranberry drinks/pills and D-Mannose powders (sugar derived from cranberries that helps UTI) and none seemed to help so why I even bothered to try these is beyond me. I am grateful I did though because this cleared up my problem, surprisingly! I have actually had cranberry pills and cranberry drinks that made my UTI worse. I’ve read it’s because whatever pesticides they spray on the cranberries can make your UTI flare up even more. I was worried since these aren’t organic, they may make my problem worse but they actually helped! Hallelujah! Whenever I have a flare up again, I’ll be sure to reach for these. 10/10 recommend

At the time of review they are £24.99 for 30 days supply. The main ingredients are American ginseng and cranberry.They are well reviewed but come at a price. At the time of writing the price is £24.99 for a month’s supply. I think that’s expensive for a combination of ginseng and cranberry.

A decent-sized pill that is ok to swallow. Ingredients seem ok quality as there is no weird aftertaste or bloating after taking. It has 250mg of Cranberry extract per tablet – Would have expected more considering its focus. A double dose would only be 500mg for the day. They. could have removed some of the bulking agents and upped the dose, but I suppose it was mixed with the amount of Ginseng… I would say it’s OK for maintenance.I’m not sure of its long-term abilities but I did notice a less dark appearance in my urine – Not sure if this was down to general water uptake or not. Overall I would say it’s an ok option but for the price, I would expect more ingredients per tablet.

The JungKwanJang Urinary Tract Comfort capsules arrive in a labelled recyclable plastic container.Printed on the label or bottle are the expiry date (18/09/26), the nutritional information, and dosage advice but for some reason the dosage is not on the bottle label but is in the advert.The Key Ingredients are Pacran Cranberry and American Ginseng. Per capsule the dose is 250mg & 71.5 mg respectively These are low doses which is why the suggestion is to take two capsules per day. There are 60 capsules in the bottle – so this is a month’s supply.There is some research that indicates that cranberry may reduce UTI due to key active ingredients, primarily proanthocyanidins (PACs) being present which prevent E Coli bacteria from adhering to the bladder wall. Unfortunately JungKwanJang do not provide any information regarding the standardisation of PACs in their preparation. So we just have to hope that they are there in sufficient amounts. Some studies suggest that ginseng may have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, which could potentially support overall urinary tract health. However, the evidence is limited and more research is needed to confirm these effects. However ginseng has adaptogenic properties, that may help the body cope with stress and support overall well-being.I could not find any research that illustrated increase efficacy for adding ginseng to cranberry for urinary tract health.Overall I have a mixed opinion – the doses per capsule are low, the capsules are large and contain bulking agent – so there is potential to increase the dose of active ingredient. The current RRP is £25.00 (although it is currently discounted to £15.74) per month is a lot to spend on cranberry and ginseng and with these you have to take two/d to achieve reasonable doses. Plus there is silicone dioxide as an additive. I think it is an interesting idea to combine these two active ingredients but I wouldn’t purchase at this price given the doses of the active ingredients.
