Cure my Perioral Dermatitis on face!!!!
Cured my Perioral Dermatitis pretty much overnight!!!!For anyone hoping to get rid of PD – this Violet EO is THE remedy!One day I randomly started getting a dry patch around my mouth & it kept getting worst & spread each day more to chin & near my nose.After a few weeks I figured it was some sort of skin condition & started researching & reading abt the condition.I tried everything moisturizers, oils, otc creams, steroids, etc.To make the matter worst when trying the steroid/hydrocortisone it made the flare up even worst … note: don’t use those to fight it.I found out the bad skin reaction was PD.After about 3 weeks it kept getting worst.I ended up coming across a website where someone mentioned using the weirdest combination of things: This Violet EO & the Boudreaux Butt Paste containing 40% pure zinc but babies butt rash!!!Obviously having nothing to lose I rushed to the store for the paste & ordered the EO on here.I received the oil on a Sunday.Applied it pure on the dry spots on my face with a cotton swab & used a layer of the zinc paste over it to seal.Left it on all day & then overnight.I made sure to have a good layer on each patches to be sure there was enough.Next morning I rinsed my face & seriously most of the patches were fading & the dryness gone!!!!I repeated the process for about 2/3 days & at night before bed. It completely disappeared around day 3!!AMAZING! I couldn’t believe it’d work so well & fast!I also asked my doctor to prescribe me some antibiotics “minocycline” for 10 days to take as I read it’d help for the condition.Though It was cured before the 10days with the paste/EO combo – i still took all 10days worth of pills.The combo of the antibiotics & treatment on face definitely worked wonder!Side note the zinc paste is a super thick white paste so when you apply it make sure you are staying home as your face will be covered in that sticky white paste so you look pretty silly & it’s also very messy if you touch it its hard to rinse off as it’s greasy & white.I wanted to write this for anyone else desperate to find a cure to their PD – when it was on my face I was completely self conscious & depressed abt it & it was the first time i ever had it too so it was very hard to diagnose it at first.This is a very embarrassing & impacting skin condition to have & I’m hoping this help other people.Some people on here mention alcohol in the new formula – not sure what I received but I ordered mine this past October & it worked perfectly.I’m keeping those in case I ever get PD to return since after researching I read it can come back at random times.I’m adding a before/after pics to show results – first pic shows how gross dry & patchy the PD rash was – the after pic is just the first morning after leaving the paste mix overnight – still not fully gone but def seeing the improvement then.

Cleared up my POD!!
This stuff is a God send! Last year I had my first bout of POD (at age 38), I tried everything, even antibiotics and some things helped tame it for a few days, but then it came back with a vengeance. I bought this stuff and within a week it was almost completely gone and not noticeable with makeup on. By about 3 or so weeks it was gone completely and didn’t come back until now…one year later. It started the same time as last year in the middle of fall, so I’m wondering if it has something to do with the cold weather?? In any event, I completely forgot about this stuff and immediately started putting creams etc. on my face to clear it, stopped eating sugar (cutting out sugar helped a little), stopped using anything with sulfites etc…nothing worked, then I went digging through my drawers and found a half bottle of the violet extract that I completely forgot that I had, and have been using it now for about a week, it’s barely noticeable now, and I’m fully expecting it to be gone within a few weeks with continued use like I did last time. The way I use it is I wash my face first with Dove scent free soap and then just take about a tsp or so of the extract and rub it on the affected areas generously…. actually sometimes I just put it all over my face because it clears up blemishes too! I then just let it dry and then put on my normal lotion and even makeup (I’m too vain to walk around with an angry red rash around my mouth!) I also put it on before I go to sleep, so about twice a day I apply it, I don’t orally ingest it although sometimes when rubbing it around the mouth area you can get a taste of it…not pleasant, but it’s not bad for you. I highly recommend this to anyone suffering from perioral dermatitis to clear it up. For me I think cutting out breads, pasta and excess sugar helped a bunch too, I noticed once I started eating that stuff more than usual that’s when it flared up more than usual. I don’t think that violet extract is the CURE, but it definitely took away the symptoms, I believe eating clean is the best way to go to help prevent it in the first place, as I truly believe that most skin conditions are a result of what you are putting IN your body. Anyway, I noticed a few people saying this doesn’t have a violet taste…this is NOT for flavoring foods!! I just bought my second bottle to have on hand in case I get another flare-up. I hope this review helps someone else suffering from this embarrassing condition, natural is the way to go!!

Helps Perioral Dermatitis
Although it didn’t completely clear my POD up it was the best thing I have used it to calm it down. I was using it for about 3 weeks & noticed when I would put it on the rash would calm down. My POD is finally going away now (no more redness & bumps just dry skin) but I have been using a little of the topical (ketoconazole) the derm prescribed along with the Violet Extract. I have been battling POD for 6 months now the Violet Extract was a huge help. I did not want to give into the topical the doctor gave me but I am noticing now a little two times day along with the Violet Extract really does help.

Helped with Perioral Dermatitis!
I purchased this because of the great reviews in relation to perioral dermatitis. I have been using the product for 10 days and my face is significantly better. I think curing perioral dermatitis is all about trying to figure out the source of the rash. Mine I believe is related to low levels of HCL. So I am taking a supplement, using Neem face soap, and applying violet extract about 4 times a day. The violet really has made a huge impact on my face. At this rate, I hope to be healed in another 3 weeks. Works better than anything else has topically.

Effective
This is recommended for PTSD or heartache. My case is pretty severe due to a concurrent mold issue in our home affecting me, but this helps for a short time to erase the bad feelings of heartache that lead to a whole host of issues so that painful trauma isn’t top of mind.

47-57% alcohol
For PD people: It is 47-57% alcohol and burns when put on irritated skin. Extremely drying. I think it used to not have alcohol which is why it’s been recommended in the past. I read a review that mentioned they changed the formula. I gave 3 stars because the manufacturer does not say anything about putting it on your skin, so I can’t really give it a bad review.

I have been using this for quite some time for spot breakouts. I feel it helps to dry the spot out and helps to heal them quicker. I also feel it stops the spot from getting worse. Only my observations but maybe worth a try.
