    Perfect for travelling
I ordered this set as a lightweight option to travel with and it’s perfect for that. The bands came with a carrying bag and take up very little room in my suitcase. I have no excuse for missing a workout thanks to these bands. There are five different levels of resistance and I like that I can double up as I get stronger. The bands come with some examples and they are great for beginners. My opinion is anyone who is looking to get totally buff might not get a lot out of these but they are great for someone who wants to tone up or stay toned.

    Good quality mini set
These are good quality and I like that each one is labeled with the level of resistance that it is. Came with an exercise guide with a few examples of how to use them, a care/use guide and a storage bag. I’d like it if the storage bag was a little bigger, but it works and I can get everything crammed back in there.

    Why so much plastic?
These bands look like they would work fine, but each of the 5 were in separate plastic bags, then in a box. I don’t get why there’s so much unnecessary packaging.

I like that there are 5 rather than 3
These are quite similar to many other resistance bands. I like these because there are 5 rather than 3, so I can tailor my workouts more. These also come with a little bag that is actually useful.I will upload some pictures of the product info that came with these. But that’s JustMe. (I received this product in exchange for an honest review, and that is what I have offered here.)

    Smelly, limited usefulness
This set of mini resistance bands is okay for a basic, limited-use set. They’re too small for doing many traditional resistance-bands exercises, and Gaiam seems kind of flummoxed on what to do with them, too. Though they proudly show on the box that the set can be used for exercising your whole body, the “bonus exercise guide” they include is actually only a one-page leaflet with six exercises, five of which are for the legs. Loop a band around your ankles/feet. 1) Step to the side. 2) Step to the front. 3) Step back. 4) Step up. 5) Step up and rotate. And then for your sixth exercise, put a band around your hands and do a push-up, stretching your arms farther apart as you do it. And that’s it. That’s all they’ve got. There’s a link on the box to their website for a “downloadable exercise guide,” but it turns out that it’s the exact leaflet that’s included with the bands. So you’re on your own for creating (or finding) other movements that can use these. The unstretched bands are about 12 inches long (so 24 inches total). They smell bad (rubbery/chemically) and they make your hands smell bad, and the stench doesn’t wash off easily. The included mesh bag isn’t as helpful as it should have been. It’s a pretty tight fit to get all of the bands in there. And if something is difficult to put away, you’ll be less likely to get it out in the first place. Just an extra half inch or so in width would have made it so much better.I also wish the bands had more prominent labeling. They only say in one spot what “level” they are, so you’ll have to kind of hunt around until you memorize them by color. But these are definitely usable bands (well, aside from the smell…hopefully that’ll dissipate some). They’ll be as beneficial as you make them. The fact that they are so small and compact might be a big bonus under certain circumstances (say, packing them in luggage; but put them in a freezer bag first so you don’t stink up your clothes). Keep them by your TV remote and make a deal with yourself to use them while watching TV. They’ll fit nicely in your drawer at work.In summary, these are okay resistance bands with the expected smelliness that’ll be good for anyone who needs small bands. But Gaiam really missed some opportunities to deliver a better product.

    perfectly portable, easy to use
The bands come boxed with a set of instructions and a small mesh bag to keep them all in. The string on the bag is long enough that you can hang it on your doorknob to keep everything out of the way, but readily available for your next workout. It all packs up smaller than my fist, so I can pretty much take it anywhere. Each band is clearly marked with the level of resistance (extra light-heavy), and color coded, so you always know what’s what. That said, even the highest resistance band isn’t too tough to use. 20 reps had me feeling it a little about half way through. The extra light resistance felt pretty easy to me – 20 reps were no problem at all.

5 Levels of Resistance and works the muscles
This is a great set for someone who is just starting out and you’re wanting to work your legs at home. There are 5 different resistance levels which was great. For certain exercises I had to start at the smallest and others I was able to adjust to more resistance. I really liked that there was a bag included to hold these in neatly. The bands fit well and easily into the bag which makes for easy storage. The guide included only has a few exercises, and I was expecting more out of it. If you are larger, like myself (I’ve got some chonky legs) it was a little difficult to get everything situated and exercises started. When they say mini, they mean mini. I suspect the more I exercise the easier it will come to me.**These contain latex – I failed to read this and I can only use these if I wear long leggings to avoid skin irritation**
