More of a cloth really
I should have done more research on this, oh well. Its very thin and flimsy and won’t protect anything. It isn’t sturdy and needs ironed so its actually flat. If you tried to work out on this it would just slide around on you and wrinkle.I bought it to put under a small treadmill so it may be ok for that since the treadmill doesn’t move around, but its really a poor quality item.It also doesn’t match the pictures, which shows a thick mat, its thin and flimsy, like my self esteem.

The mat was too small for my use so i had to return but quality was ok. need to take some time to unroll before using.
