I’ve kept my vitamin cabinet stocked with Drinkwel for years now, ever since I got a sample in a subscription box about 4-5 years ago. I’m in my mid-30s and no way can I drink the way I did in my 20s, and be okay the next day. And, I do love my wine and beer. I drink maybe 1-2x/week (unless I’m on vacation, then all bets are off), but I tend to drink more than I intended when I do just cause I’m having fun.I normally wake up with a pounding headache, severe nausea and dehydration, and want nothing than to stay in bed all day. Reduce the next morning hangover by 80-90%
After an embarrassing incident going out for drinks on a weekday and calling in the next morning, I had to find some way to deal with the after effects of drinking. A few days of research led me to Drinkwel.It works _if_ you try follow the instructions on the bottle. Yes, it says to take 3 capsules before and after drinking. You can get away with just 3 before or after going out for drinks, but if you stay out for longer than 3-4 hours, it’s safe to say you’ll still be hurting the next morning if you don’t take 1 or 2 more before closing up for the night (that is if you took some capsules before then).There are some side effects when you sleep that you need to be prepared for. At least for me, after 4 hours into sleep, I begin burning up and wake up promptly. Just prepare for that by lowering the A/C and using thinner sheets if this happens to you. Sometimes I have trouble falling back to sleep, but you can work around this by taking 200mg of L-Theanine with Drinkwel.Another reviewer mentioned taking Milk Thistle and some multivitamins instead of Drinkwel to save money. They have a point and they’re mostly wrong about it. Drinkwel only contains the nutrients you need replenished after drinking, where as a standard multivitamin contains many other things you may not want to overdose on. That’s not smart, especially on the premium multivitamins like Optimum, Source Naturals, and Rainbow… they all, as far as I can tell, contain many more ingredients than your standard multivitamin in the grocery store.Milk Thistle, however, as a daily supplement makes a big difference if you go out for drinks and don’t have Drinkwel handy. It’s definitely not nearly as potent as Drinkwel, but the difference is still more massive than supporting your body with nothing at all.My verdict? Buy this. It will save your butt weekday, weekend, and whenever you wake up. It will make you feel more confident going out, knowing that there’s nothing to fear asking your friends to end the night with another car bomb.PS. Remember to hydrate yourself. A dehydration hangover is different than a nutrition hangover that Drinkwel targets.
