Coptis (Rhizoma Coptidis) is a perennial stemless herb, 20-50 cm high. The leaves are basal, long, petiolate. Inflorescence is a terminal cyme with 3-8 whitish green flowers. The seeds are with black crustaceous testa. The rhizome is shaped like a cock-spur, 5-6 cm long, brownish yellow, densely covered with numerous nodes and often with rootlets, interior is yellow-orange, but in transverse section, the central pith is deeper in color.

I took this for LS for seven days, four times a day. I have noticed significant relief from the symptoms.In order to deal with very bitter taste, I was taking it in capsule form. Amazon sells empty ‘bulksupplements.com’ gelatin capsules that I filled myself right before taking them. Size 00 worked perfectly for me (about 22 drops).In addition to supplements, I recommend trying a gluten-free diet to those who are dealing with LS.
