EXTRA STRENGTH 2,500mg CAPSULE – Our holistic formula combines 327mg of Ceylon cinnamon with 142mg of supercritical (CO2) Ceylon cinnamon extract and post-supercritical water (H2O) extract in a single 2,500mg dry spice equivalent capsule. Supercritical extraction uses the same pressurized CO2 gas that is infused into sparkling water to produce a very clean, highly concentrated, product containing the full-spectrum of active ingredients. Conventional extraction methods require chemical solvents such as hexane and acetone to produce a standard 10:1 or 20:1 cinnamon extract powder.

This bottle of, “CinnaGuard” from Ceylon Cinnamon Shop arrived as shown on the listing here. The bottle’s label features a lot of information, and is very transparent with certain things, which is something I really like to see with supplements. Each bottle contains 120 capsules, with each serving being 1 capsule. Each 1 capsule serving contains:- 327mg – Organic Ceylon Cinnamon (Bark)- 142mg – Organic Ceylon Cinnamon extract (of which, 125mg is H2O Bar extract, and 17mg CO2 Supercritical Bark extract)I consume Cinnamon daily, and sometimes I take a cinnamon supplement. This CinnaGuard supplement is one of the more interesting that I’ve taken. First off, when you open the bottle, the strong smell of Cinnamon is apparent. The capsules are of a typical size and I found easy to swallow.The bottle’s label features stamps on the front showing that the contents of the capsules are USDA Organic, Fair-Trade, and Non-GMO. Further reading of the label gives me contact information for the company, a mention that the contents of the capsules are also certified organic by MOSA, the supplement is manufactured in the USA with Ceylon Cinnamon sourced from Sri Lanka, the website url is even listed on the label. Something I often look for is where a supplement is manufactured, and if the contents are sourced from elsewhere. I don’t like it when I can’t find that information. Ceylon Cinnamon Shop puts that information on the label, and I appreciate that. Looking at the company’s website, and their listing for this supplement, there is also mention that CinnaGuard is tested by Eurofins and verified for Ultra-Low Coumarin content.Overall, this CinnaGuard supplement from Ceylon Cinnamon Shop is a bit better than I expected. The company being clear and up front with certain information and not coy is something I really like to see.

High Quality Pills
I really like these cinnamon capsules, I think a lot of care has gone into them. I love that they are actual cinnamon and not cassia. I also like that they are organic, fair trade and non-gmo certified. With all of the things clamoring for our buying dollar it is more important than ever to make sure what you buy is real and produced in a non-harmful manner. I also like that it’s a one capsule a day serving. Cinnamon has such wonderful properties, I got these mainly for cinnamons anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and blood sugar stabilizing properties. I have been having foot pain and I do think that this has helped lessen it. I don’t take the pill at night, I take it in the afternoon when I’m doing most of my walking, and it does seem to help with the pain. I also have been around quite a few people that are sniffling and coughing and so far I have not caught anything from them. I can’t directly credit the cinnamon for that, but I’m pretty sure it’s not hurting either! The pills are a pretty standard size and easy to swallow. For me there has been no taste or after taste with these, which is nice. I also really appreciate that they are manufactured and certified in the US. To be honest there is nothing I don’t like about these cinnamon capsules and I would highly recommend them.
