Whirly Wide Boards
Original Whirly Board
How did we get our start?
Our founder loves board sports and has a passion for creating. One day, an idea for a better balance board inspired him to cut a bowling ball and a pool ball in half and attach them to a skateboard deck to have some fun.
What makes our products unique?
Three separate balance points allow movement in any direction. The ability to spin and walk the board improves not only your balance, but your agility too!
Why do we love what we do?
We love making a quality product that brings others joy. Inspiring people to live a healthy and active lifestyle is our mission.

Game Changer for Skateboarders and Fitness Enthusiasts Alike
I am particularly impressed with this board as it serves as a workout tool, engaging both your core and lower body. It’s exceptionally beneficial for those keen on improving their snow transitions. Not only is it useful, but it’s also enjoyable to spend a few minutes on it, even trying to perform squats. The product is exactly as it’s described in the advertisement. I appreciate its hand-crafted nature, embodying the passion of the startup company that created this Whirly Board. This board offers an unexpected level of utility for practicing skateboarding beyond the immediately obvious options. While it might not be as effective for manuals as a real skateboard, it provides excellent dynamic balance practice for body varials without the board ends touching the ground. My partner, who’s an avid skateboarder, now uses it daily while watching skateboarding videos.I found that it makes the task of standing and working on spreadsheets genuinely fun. It seems to help manage my ADHD symptoms as well. When my wrists are resting on the edge, it’s super easy to keep my balance, spin from side to side, or bounce around if I’m listening to music. It’s a refreshing change from the usual, mundane balance boards. It has won over my 13-year-olds, and I even spotted the cat giving it a go.However, while the construction quality appears to be good, the difficulty level is quite high. It’s challenging to maintain steady balance without holding onto a chair or resting on the side support balls.

It’s great – Notes about using with a stand up desk.
It’s great fun and a really good way to awaken your calves and feet. I got the cork grip and am happy with that – im more stable barefoot and feel it more in my feet. Pro tip – use it for push ups. Great core workout after balancing for 5 minutes, go straight into push ups/planks. Because of the balls(?) on the end you can’t pinch your fingers so stabilizing is difficult but safe. Great core workout.I cannot use this while working at a standing desk, the motion is just to variable. That variability is what’s so great about it, but you’re Rodney Mullen if you can type while on the board. It’s fine for calls, going over email or taking a quick break to clear your head. Actually, it’s wonderful as a quick break – you have to focus on balance and nothing else which does really get you out of your head.Don’t hesitate. It looks like a blast, that’s why you’re here but trust me it’s more fun than you think. Fwiw i spent a lot of time on a board as a kid but that was 35 years ago and it didn’t take long to get my legs back.

Easy way to add movement to a sedentary day
I’ve been searching for a while to find something I can use while I am standing behind my desk. I have a small pedal machine for when I sit, but I stand more than anything. I had never though about a balance board and happened upon this by chance. I’m so glad I got it. It takes a minute to get used to it, but once you do, it’s a game changer. I’ll rock, stretch my calves, balance, and I can even turn it over to rub my foot over the side balls for relief from plantar fasciitis. A padded mat underneath is a must. The center ball is plastic so it will slip on hard floors. I know this won’t cause me to become the epitome of health on it’s own, however it does certainly help keep me from sitting still at my desk snacking all day.Start slow though. I stood on it for several hours the first day. The next day I could feel a tightness in my legs and my core so if you’re not already used to standing, shorter increments to build upon are the way to go.

I love my whirly board – I’m so much stronger, so quickly.
This board is quite literally the best thing I’ve ever purchased, and I really don’t think that’s hyperbole. I’ve become so much stronger again, in only a few weeks. While I don’t have injuries or serious aches, I immediately noticed that all minor aches and pains have completely disappeared. No neck strains, no stiff back. The week after I purchased it, I was at the store, and kneeled down to get something from the bottom shelf, got up, and immediately thought, wow, I don’t have to slowly get back up to “unfold” my back. No more “old man pains”, as I’ve described to friends. (I’m approaching 50).I’ve already encouraged two good friends to buy one each, and we’ve started an informal “car” club.If you are looking for a balance board, get it, it’s amazing. I’ve used another board that rocks back and forth, but it doesn’t compare. That was a glorified standing pad. This thing is dynamic, and there’s no easy way to it.That said, be patient, it seems impossible at first. The key is to begin with your feet closer together, essentially standing over the center ball. This will help you build strength and technique. I’ve gone from a few minutes at a time, to dancing and twisting on it while working. I’m standing 80% of my work day now, and haven’t used my office chair in weeks (75cm balance ball the rest of the time).I’m in love with this thing, and this is 100% my opinion, no paid, freebie stuff here.

Solid for standing desk.
Used purely for balance and stretching at my standing desk and I like it. Glad I didn’t go with the skateboard tape version because I imagine the cork has a little more cushion. The whirly board seems more fun to me than other standing desk mats.

I love this thing.
I have had a standing desk for years, but could only go for an hour or two before having to lower it to chair height due to foot pain. I wear comfy shoes indoors, but would still fatigue. With the Whirly Board, I am able to go almost all day. There is a learning curve, and I had my doubts at my first attempt. After a few weeks, however, I love it and look forward to standing at my desk. At first, I had to have two hands resting on my desk to stabilize. But now I find myself just balancing to pick up my phone to respond to a text.I am not a sponsor, just FYI, and I typically spend between 2 – 6 hours at my desk each day.
