    After a month, I’m a fan
Does exactly what I wanted it to do (time, basic fitness tracking, alerts to emails/text/calls) for a low price.I had grown frustrated and weary of my 4-year-old Fossil Carlyle smartwatch, and wanted to move to a low-price, basic option. Looked at several of the Fit 3 competitors, and since I already have a Samsung smartphone, took the $59 leap to try the Fit 3.I don’t use the sleep tracking feature (my CPAP does that), and really don’t rely on the Fit 3 to do more than the basics. As a result, the battery life has been 8-10 days for the first month I’ve owned it, compared to the daily charging (sometimes more) needed by the Fossil.I’m fine with the variety of watch faces, and I’ve found the step-counting accuracy to be in the range of what I’ve experienced over the past, with the fitness apps on my phone(s). Also, the heart-rate tracking seems to agree with what’s shown on my treadmill during long walks. It’s lightweight yet big enough to easily read, simple to operate and adjust. It’s comfortable. No, I can’t text with it. No, I can’t answer my cellphone with it. Don’t care. It essentially requires a Bluetooth connection with the Samsung phone to reach its full (and basic) potential, which is OK. I carry the phone with me everywhere anyhow, as do many/most people. After a month or so of ownership, I’m a fan. It works, its battery last long enough for my needs, it provides good time and health tracking, and the rest of the functionality I either don’t need or have found to be adequate.

Great smart band for the price.
Appearance: Looks and feels like a more expensive smart band. The screen is large and legible. More screen real estate compared to more expensive Fitbit.Usability: Long battery life (around 10 days) makes it a great compliment to smart watch with much shorter battery life (1-2 days). Works perfectly alongside a Samsung phone and Galaxy watchFeatures: Features are basic but sufficient for fitness tracking, sleep tracking, timers, alarms, media control, notifications… Does most of the same as a Fitbit charge 6 but with a sleeker interface.Pleasantly surprised and a nice update compared to the Galaxy Fit 2 or other smart bands.

Helpful smart watch and activity tracker
Battery – The functions that suck up the battery the most are the blood oxygen level reading if you leave that on and if you also have it measuring stress levels constantly instead of manually. The battery life is decent otherwise.Aesthetics – Really nice that the band tucks into the underside of the watch so it doesn’t catch on anything. The variety of watch faces are definitely unexpected; it definitely caters to multiple preferences.Features – The calorie count in Samsung Health doesn’t match what I log in MyFitnessPal, but it does show up correctly with the daily food I log IN MyFitnessPal. Odd, but I just removed the food tracker from my tiles. The sleep feature is nice as I didn’t really know what about my sleep was making me feel like garbage so I can work on that.Value – Does a lot for the price. I enjoy being able to track what I can accurately (as accurate can get) as well as being able to quickly check a work notification, the weather, a calendar event, or be notified of an alarm when I’m not looking at my phone.Could of course be a bit better, but it’s doing what I bought it for and I have not had any connectivity or glitch issues so far and I’ve had it 2 weeks.

    Needs a phone
Needs more than just Android, it needs a phone. Will not connect to a Samsung tablet. Needs a lot of permissions on the phone. Needs Samsung Health app, Samsung Wear app, and a Fit 3 something/plug-in before it will connect to a phone; in my case, a Motorola phone. Really wish the device would function for health tracking without requiring all of the full phone, message, location, and other permissions I don’t want it to use. Phone is too small to see; tablet won’t get updated information unless the Fit 3 can update via the phone. need to have the phone and tablet set to sync with Samsung cloud.Well its been 3 days and the device still has not been able to measure my O2. My fitBit Charge 5 would measure my O2 overnight, and I was really looking forward to being able to get an O2 measurement on demand. I have tried a manual measurement several times with the Fit 3 telling me to try moving or tightening the band with no results. I was hoping I would get something for O2 at some point, but I am very disappointed. Finally figured out how to measure the O2, the first time there is more than just clicking measure. When I clicked measure, it told me to slide the band up my arm and tighten the strap. I did that many times with the result of no measurement being taken and the screen just going away. was very frustrated for more than a week and was almost going to send the watch back to Amazon as defective. Finally noticed some dots at the top of the screen with the far left dot a little brighter. Swiped left and moved to the next page which said elbow on the table. Swiped left again and got hold watch by heart. I final left swipe again got me to another page that said measure. This time it worked. Having instructions that don’t say they are instructions was very frustrating, but now when I hit measure, it goes straight to starting the measurement and I don’t need to swipe through instructions. Still not very happy with this watch, but I am planning on keeping it.Can’t emphasize just how much this needs a phone. While wearing both a Fit Bit and this Samsung Band, last week, most of the time, I did not have the phone, the one exception was Thursday when I had a busy day for medical testing and had my phone with me to read my Kindle book. I attached some images of the data from both the Fit Bit and Galaxy Band to show just how much data the Galaxy Band failed to capture before and after it had hours with my phone. I was very surprised that it did not lose the work out data from a few days before the phone time, but it said there were no steps at all for those days
