Reliable Supplement
My spouse has kidney disease and a nutritionist recommended that he take this supplement. At the time, 2008, he was recovering from a heart attack and had been recently diagnosed with Stage 3 kidney disease. The nutritionist told us that, in addition to watching his sodium and potassium levels to help with his heart disease, taking 800 mg of folic acid would help protect his kidneys. It has been 12 years and his kidney disease is still at Stage 3. We believe the supplement has helped him to avoid dialysis, which is the only alternative once reaching Stage 5. My spouse is a diabetic and was first diagnosed in 1985. I believe that the advice given by the nutritionist has prolonged my spouse’s life.

Product differs from packaging.
I bought this product because the bottle is labeled as capsules. However, the product inside is uncoated tablets, not capsules, and the uncoated tablets often get stuck in my throat. I’ve had pretty good success with Vitamin Shoppe products, but I don’t think I’m buying these again any time soon.
