Affordable, comfortable walking shoe
We are headed on a river cruise in Europe and wanted some shoes that would be comfortable for all day walking. These are a good value for the money and are a quality shoe. They are extremely comfortable and also seem quite sturdy. My husband has started using them to be sure they are broken in and he really feels the cushioning and ease of on and off will be great (and not just for the trip). The shoes are true to the look in the image including style and color. They have good arch support, great cushioning, and the soles are rubber not foam so they have some grip to prevent slipping (we live in a snowy climate so that is helpful).

The Millennium Falcon Vs. The Death star
I will not gush endlessly, where never is heard a discouraging word or a one-star review. Instead, I will compare the Nortiv 8 “Floats” with the latest, more high tech “Move Propels” which is more useful. First off, the “Move Propels” are much more impressive, especially in the radical raised, deep contoured sole. It’s as if Nortiv 8 read my review of the “Floats” and built these. They are even more impressive in person! From a marketing standpoint however, please note, the infamous competing high buck, status-back-baby Hokas have brilliant radical colors and patterns, especially in their most expensive styles. They know! Aggressive colors draw more customers = money. True of ANY high-end sneaker co., or any verifiable sneakerholic. Nortiv 8 has NOT gotten the message. These “blue” “Move Propels” are the deadest most conservative looking blue I have ever seen and are less bright by far than the blue-green “Floats” which are already conservative. The dull laces don’t help this much either. I changed the laces on both pairs with a drastic improvement. The reflective spots don’t impress (too small, barely visible at night). It’s a shame since this very creative and original design is otherwise KILLER and would gain dramatically from some color courage, unless you only want to sell to Babs and Scooter to go with their Dockers. As far as comfort goes, the “Floats” are more comfortable walkers. The toe box is wider and the sole bends more; however, there is more rocker and a lot of bounce in the “Move Propels” so they roll better, but don’t bend at all; too much triangulation, the price of style. Takes a little getting used to. There is also considerably more weight, despite the “holes in the soles”. They are, by far, the heaviest sneakers I own. Sort of built in ankle weights (good/bad?)..more exercise? or not. Yes, someone else already said that! I have more massive sneakers that weigh half that, so it can be done. They are unquestionably platform risers, and I like that, at 5′ 7″. They are big attention getters, comfy, good arch support, and very high tech looking, which is how, and why, I bought them. No regrets! That and the nice way the company treated me with the first buy, which deserves a reward. Will update with some long-term use results. Later! ….Update! The tongue is too short so you cannot use the furthest back upper eyelets to tighten the fit and prevent heel abrasion caused by excessive movement and rubbing as outlined by other reviewers. There is precious little tongue to grab onto, and so the tongue tends to slip under the laces. A wide pull loop made of 3M reflective, the full length of the extended tongue along with a widened back pull of the same 3M, and possibly a more contemporary slip-on heel extension, like transplanting the Active Breeze uppers onto the Move Propel lowers, would greatly improve the look, and, more important, the function, improve the profile, and the fit at the heel, and increase the customer base. Add some more aggressive coloring, and I would buy more. Death Star II ? Move Propel AMG ?

Excellent Value
For the price these all purpose shoes are a very good value. First , they are true to size.I was 6 foot 2 and a 1/2, I can now fully claim 6 foot 3. The cross suspenion sole actrully works. Very good support and shock absorbition. The shoe does click slightly until broken in, indicating its performing. The shoe is slightly on the narrow sidebut roomy enough for an arch insert. I believe these shoes are more confortable than the current Asics as they changed to foam. I get compliments on the shoes appearance.

Ouch!
I was scared to order these because of the reviews, but I took a chance. I was very happy at first. They fit great and have very little arch support (arch supports hurt my feet, knees and back). I wore them around the house for a day just in case I needed to return them. Feeling confident I wore them to work. They are very stiff with no flex at all, but they didn’t hurt my feet. I put them on the next day, with the same type of socks, and didn’t even make it to the door. The tops of the backs of the shoes hurt so bad that they started rubbing the skin off in the 30 second it took me to walk to the door! And since I wore them outside, I can’t return them. DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY!

Wide heel space.
The heel side-to-side space is a little wider than I prefer, so my heels tend to slide sideways. The sole cushions are great though.Update: Seller gave full refund.
