Comfortable and durable water shoes
My favorite local beaches are more pebble than sand. Flip flops and other types of sandal styles just don’t work for that terrain, with all the tiny rocks getting caught between the shoe and the foot. These shoes are perfect for that. The firm soles protect the feel from rocky surfaces. The soles are grippy, too. The mesh fabric fits snugly around the foot, keeping out rocks and other debris.There are some tiny drain holes on the bottom of the shoes that will allow an occasional pebble to get through the sole, but the insert acts as padding between skin and rock. It’s an acceptable tradeoff for necessary water drainage.The materials are durable and seem to have a lot of life in them. The comfort is excellent. I feel the price is a very good balance with quality.

Good for water aerobics/sizing is confusing
I normally wear a 7 in women’s but can wear a 6.5 if the width is a wide, so it was hard to decide what size to get by the sizing chart. I decided to order the 6.5 (37 European) so glad I did. They fit nicely but like most of this type of water shoe, they are a little long. I ordered them to use for water aerobics and the worked well. They gave me fairly good balance, the water drained from them nicely and they dried quicker than expected after I was done. Plus, they are nice looking and very light weight. The stretchy lace and moveable clasp make them easy to put on, adjust to the right tightness and take off when you are done. Overall, not a bad choice. I gave 4 stars because of the sizing issue.

Good fit. Great shoe laces. Comfortable
I wear size 5 wide but there’s no size 5 so I ordered size 5.5 women/4.5 men—perfect fit for me with extra wriggle room for my toes and with socks on. I’m so glad the shoes come in half sizes. These are lightweight and feel sturdy and so comfortable I want to wear them all the time. It was raining on the way home when I wore them outside for the first time. They got wet but dried off pretty fast, my socks were wet but my feet didn’t feel cold although it’s still winter. The rubber soles provide good traction on wet pavement. I like the shoe laces which are elastic, easy to tighten or loosen with the locking device, once you get the desired snugness you can just leave it alone or adjust as the need arises. Not having to undo the laces to take them off then tie them again after putting them on is a big bonus, easy on/easy off. Good value for money.

VERY comfortable, good fit
This are surprisingly very comfortable and they fit very well. I wear a size 12 shoe, and I have wide feet, and the size 12 fits well and is super comfortable with no pinching my toes or anywhere else. The “laces” are elastic (like bungee cords) that you can cinch up by pulling and moving the little locking piece (squeeze the tab to move it), and you can loosen by squeezing the tab and letting the built-in stretchiness assist with loosening it. It also has enough flex that once you get it snug, you can pretty much slide your feet out without any big loosening. For me, the heel part comes off somewhat easily (like if I was on a PWC and wiped out), but the rest of the foot stays snugly inside the shoe so I don’t think it will come off except for extreme situations. The sole of the shoe is thick, giving protection when walking over rocks or just walking down the street when you come in from the river/lake. They look just like regular athletic shoes with no dorkiness factor (I got the black shoes). I really like these and will use them all the time for kayaking and on the PWC.

These are fantastic water shoes! Very comfortable.My recommendation would be to follow the size chart that the seller provides. My foot is 9 inches (I typically wear size 7), and I should have ordered the women’s 7.5. However, I asked the AI dude Rufus how the sizing was, and HE told me these shoes typically run small and I should order a size up. Well Rufus, you were wrong man. I should have followed the size chart and not second guessed it!All that being said, even though the size 8.5 is a bit large on me, they’re actually quite comfortable with socks on. But then my daughter came in and stole them from me, and they probably fit her better anyway so now I have no more water shoes of my own. Maybe someday soon I’ll order another pair in the correct size for ME….Hope this review was helpful!

Order smaller than your size.
These come in half sizes. I wear an 8 but, based on other people‘s reviews, I ordered a 7.5 and the fit is correct. They are not the least bit tight. Through unfortunately, I knew after just a few steps that they were going to make blisters on my heels. With regular shoes, you can put a pad or a bandage on your heel, but I don’t know that’ll work with water shoes. I have not tried them in water yet. The materials aren’t great quality, but they are good for their price. I like the colors and I think they would hold up pretty well but I won’t find out since they rub the back of my foot.
