what a relief
week 11 of physical therapy after extensive shoulder surgery…….and my amazing therapist introduces me to mr. schwinn (airdyne wind jammer) this baby not only helps with strengthening but that constant motion relieves the remaining pressure and stiffness in shoulder and bicep area. i get home and start searching for a wind jammer, finding out no longer made and hard to find used ones. thru amazon, three items pop up, low end to high end. the velocity has an outstanding price, pretty good reviews and option for overnight delivery a big plus. ordered on tuesday afternoon and it is here wednesday morning. took longer removing from box than assembly. about an hour total. parts list is deceiving because some pieces were already attached to machine (so don’t panic, just start to assemble) wires to hook up monitor are straightforward, one is male female connection and other two no need to match up, just connect. we did not install pulse rod arms on side of seat, not needed. not a wind jammer but such a great alternative. bike has a smaller footprint which is nice. can adjust tension for arms and legs. can adjust seat. rollers on front end so you can tip up and move pretty easy. my therapist has seen and given the thumbs up. (may not be for everyone during physical therapy so check with your professionals first !!) for me and my recovery, perfect!

She can’t use it so it was a waste of money
I bought for my petite mom. She is 5’0″ and she was not able to reach the peddles unless she scooted her bottom toward the edge of the seat. Therefore, she couldn’t place her back up against the back rest, this caused pain to her spine since it curved it. She can’t use it so it was a waste of money. However, if you don’t have short legs, the machine is well made and easy to put together.

Good bike thats inexpensive!
I bought this exercise bike to help recover my leg and arm strength after a major spinal cord injury. In that respect it has helped immensely with therapy its very easy on the the 1st of 7 strength settings and gives you a run for your money on the tougher setting, with that in mind there is a good range of difficulty. Note however the arm bike is not connected to the digital readout or the leg difficulty so it is very much an isolated part of the bike and has its own difficulty knob. The seat is firm enough that you don’t sink in but no where near hard enough to make your bottom hurt (I’ve been on this for 30 minutes at a time and only when I go for longer do I start to notice a very small ache, however that’s more likely due to my spines over sensitivity than the seat). The seat adjustment knobs are a bit fiddly and if you don’t have much arm strength you may need assistance to get them set in the first place but once there they stick pretty well (horizontal movement is just a screw knob so It can move if not tight enough but the vertical height is secured with a pin lock and screwknob. There rotation of the wheel is very good I don’t feel wobbly when riding it but a complaint I have is the petals are meant for smaller feet I have a 12.5 US foot and I have the the foot straps set to the max length and my feet don’t fit completely on the petal but it’s not uncomfortable, it just makes me have to use my ankles a bit more. The digital readout uses AA batteries to power itself and unless you’re a hobbyist electrician there is no way to have it run on any other power source. The heart pulse reader is basic at best and honestly I don’t use it a whole lot but the timer works and that’s mostly what I care about. Don’t expect much from the digital display. Other than that if you don’t want to use the arm bike portion you can sneak a tablet in between the arm stiffness knob and the digital readout and watch netflix or what ever tablet thing you do and have it stay there reasonably well (I recommend a case with a bit of grip as the bike is all plastic and metal, except the seat obviously, which is a synthetic leather-y material).For assembly you need two people or one person who is very flexible and has a lot of free time. It took two of us about an hour to assemble, nothing to terribly difficult but some of the parts just needed extra hands to help out with placement and holding in place until tightened down. I should also note all the screws are pre placed for easy assembly and much better than a giant bag of screws.Now it may seem I’ve been critical of a lot of the features on the bike and yea there are a few shortcomings but for being one of the most inexpensive recumbent bikes I could find and it comes with an arm bike too. It has been worth it, for the price I paid this is a great bike for anyone wanting some light low impact exercise it’s great that it made it easy to get in and out of.

Many bent bolts . housing not fully assembled
While removing the bike body from the carton a spring fell out of the housing (not good). I assembled the bike anyway. Allow 2 hours. The 4 bolts to the lower stable bars were screwed in at an angle and all 4 bolts were crooked. I had bolts in the shop and used them to affix the bars. All bolts and screws were of poor quality. Differently not German or American. After Assembly bike would not pedal forward. removed the housing and found the clutch housing were the spring was to go. The tension cable was also loose. put them on and reassembled housing. Bike works fine but I would not buy this bike if I had known the quality of workmanship and parts.

I waited over a year to purchase this bike but I finally got it and I love it. I wanted something with this particular hand/arm motion. I used one in therapy and wanted the same one but a lot cheaper and this was it. It is very comfortable to use and is a good work out. I am a 58 year old woman if fairly good health my knees are bad though. I actually enjoy riding this.It was very easy to put together, I was able to do it alone. The instructions were a little confusing but I figured it out! Great buy for the price!!!

This thing was broken when I unpacked it. I saw Fed Ex backing up in my driveway. That’s a first. The driver was a small framed older lady without a helper,and I am so glad I was at home because there was no way she could have gotten it off the truck by herself because it was extremely heavy. That raised a red flag! That is probably what happened to it. Someone probably dropped while carelessly putting it on or taking off the truck either in route to me or to the store I bought it from. Who knows? Only God knows. Well, I had to put it together and when I got to a certain part which was the main display, the whole unit was cracked. I had to take the thing apart and re-box it the best I could. Amazon had UPS here the next day to pick it up. I received great service where the return was concerned. It was nice and sturdy. I bout it for my mom so that she could exercise her arms and legs.

Product came with 2 bent bolts that were not usable and missing wiring. Used duct tape to secure base and no wiring for heart rate feature. Adjustment mechanism for seat difficult to adjust. Otherwise good basic combo pedal by foot or hand and compact. Noted that bike manufacturing took place over 2 years ago.

I’m very happy with this bike. Took about an hour to put together, if you have ever assembled something from Ikea you’ll be fine. It has a very stable platform, nice wide seat. Other reviews have complained about the computer. Its hard to read. I typically ride the bike everyday and use my watch to time myself. My only complaint is every few days the seat needs tightening.

Bought this bike for my wife’s rehab exercise, the box was broken, and there are scratches on the bike. After checking all the parts realized there is some parts missing. Amazon should label open box items online and check all the parts thoroughly when reselling them. had to repack and return.

The resistance adjuster got stuck and stopped working within two months. I ended up returning it.
