Good quality, fully functional as advertised
Very solid, quiet, fully functional as advertised, easy to assemble, heavy enough to not slide easily along the floor, light and compact enough to carry in one hand, made of good quality materials, and looks good. I am really feeling its benefits as I recover from knee surgery. My wife had asked for it for her general fitness and health, and I am happy I bought it for her because I now see we will both use it.

Highly Recommend with a Sit/Stand Desk (and yes you can pedal both directions on this one)
Paired this with an inexpensive sit/stand desk (this one: https://amzn.to/3P4YCeR) and it’s a great combo. The desk keeps a laptop or a book stable for use, and you can pedal away for far longer than you think you will for a bonus exercise/health/circulation benefit. Plus, some studies suggest that learning/working while exercising boosts memory retention, so there’s that benefit as well!As for the Yosuda pedaller… great little unit. Quiet, smooth, easy to use, easy to assemble. The handle on top makes it really convenient to move around. I have found it very stable on carpet. Have not tested it on other surfaces.PRO TIP(s): to improve stability and prevent slippage you can do 2 extra things: first: if you have an adjustable height chair, ensure the angle of your legs to the pedals is closer to 45 degrees or more, rather than parallel to the ground. That extra downward pressure will help increase resistance/friction with the floor. Second: I found that by adding a thin non-slip mat (like this https://amzn.to/4bU76zg ) under it added to the stability. Overall, I found the unit far more stable than some other reviews had me anticipating.Bottom Line: whether it’s for helping old joints, improving circulation, or burning a few extra calories, this is a great little unit to get! Crank up “Born to Be Wild” or “I can’t Drive 55” on the stereo and start pedalling! : )

    Skids across the floor
Sturdy, well-made but along with that is the weight of the unit if you are pulling it out for use and putting it away after. If placed on carpet it leaves marks/indentation marks and “walks” necessitating constant realignment of the machine to your body. On hardwood floors, with or without the mat, it walks like crazy. Would love to work those issues out as it is a good workout on a quiet, well-made solid machine.

Surprisingly robust with everything you need
I set this up a few days ago in anticipation of total knee replacement surgery which I had yesterday. I can’t say much about the internal resistance mechanism durability since I’m not supposed to use it until next week, but so far I’m very impressed. It felt smooth and comfortable in testing. The overall design is nice and includes a handle to move the device around easily. Not that I will be carrying it in the first few weeks after surgery.Set up was easy with clear directions. The mechanism is smooth and the resistance goes from nothing to harder than a floor device like this can really support unless you attach it to the floor with screws, and I can’t imagine home users are going to want to do that. In other words, at the highest settings, the whole device will skitter away from you even if placed on a non-slide mat and using the included bungee cords. By the way, the unit comes with a non-slide mat and the included bungee cords come complete with (lightly padded) handles for your hands plus clips to attach to the machine on the other side. You don’t need to buy these items separately. If you really want the high resistance settings, the mat probably works much better on a tile or wood floor. I have to set mine on a low nap rug, which may not be ideal. Likewise, using ropes instead of the bungee cords will prevent sliding altogether. However, that’s not really what a device like this is designed for. I will be using it for rehab, and for that it is perfect. If you’re having trouble deciding between a bicycle style device or an elliptical trainer style device, both the surgeon’s staff and my independent PT said the bicycle style device was the appropriate choice. Check with your PT, but I think this is the one you want.As a former bicycle shop owner, my only complaint is with the pedals. They are smooth but very stiff. Then again, you are wanting resistance from a device like this so it doesn’t matter. Plus, the stiff pedals mean you don’t have to master the skill of flipping the pedal up in order to use the foot strap. On balance, this is probably a good thing for most users. I just have my nose up in the air too much!Another minor niggle is that the instructions have you attaching the foot straps backwards from how they should be. You really want the adjustable side of the foot clip, the one with lots of adjustment, not the side with only two adjustment options, on the outside of the pedal. That will be the easiest place to grab the foot clip tabs and adjust the foot clip to your foot or shoe size. After attaching the foot clip, be sure that the fully adjustable side is parallel to the attachment clip on the pedal. It’s really easy to put them on the incorrect pedal. If the adjustment holes in the foot clips aren’t parallel with the attachment clip on the paddle, the plastic on the foot clip might wear prematurely and they will come off easily when using the machine. That’s probably the weakest point of the instructions, this was simply not made clear and the photographs showing how they attach our incorrect in my view. The only other thing to be careful about is to be sure that your foot is far enough forward in the pedal while using the machine. If you have average size feet, and you have the ball of your foot aligned with the pedal spindle, your heel will hang far enough back that you are likely to clip the rear support of the machine as you pedal. If you aren’t wearing shoes, this could be quite painful. Ask me how I know! The machine comes with a Bluetooth enabled monitor. It displays RPM, calories burned (probably not accurate), and other stats. There are suggest apps for both iPhone and Android phones. I had no trouble setting up my iPhone with the machine, but I haven’t really used the apps yet yet and I am not sure that I will do so for my intended use. But it’s there if you want it. I also discovered when downloading these items from the Apple App Store that there are many other similar apps that work with these kinds of exercise machines. Most, including the recommended apps, have in app purchases so you can have nicer stats or nicer scenery to pedal around. I would say choose whichever one you want as they are all likely to interface well with the machine.I will update this review if I find the machine has problems when I start to use it for rehab. However, I’m expecting this to be a stellar performer. I was offered a rental machine similar to this from the surgeon’s office, but I found that with my insurance, the price would be about the same if I just bought this one off Amazon. I’m expecting it will work just as well as what the surgeon would have gotten for me.

    Great for Seniors
I bought this machine after seeing a few physical therapy YouTubers recommend this type of gentle, gliding motion for improving knee strength and cartilage. I’ve only had the machine for about a week, but I find it relaxing, definitely delivering a mild workout for an unfit senior, and something I can do when the weather is bad. I think it’s the perfect prelude to venturing into a more strenuous fitness program.Incidentally, there are videos on YouTube that show ways to make the machine an interval training workout, as well as routines for working the upper body while pedaling. So it’s not just “stationary bicycling”.The machine is attractive, easy to assemble, with necessary tools included. It’s a bit heavy, but that’s necessary for stability. The motion is perfectly smooth, and produces only a faint whirring noise. The readout is quite handy. I prefer to track minutes, and the KMH monitor is most useful to show you when your effort is flagging and needs to be stepped back up. I am using it for my arms as well, as the smooth motion also seems to be giving my shoulders, elbows and wrists good exercise.I’m starting all the way at the bottom of the resistance setting. That’s what my knees can handle.

My spouse’s Kinesiologist recommended one of these and said to make sure the unit was heavy enough. This one is18lbs and doesn’t move around when you use it. I’m in pretty good shape and found I got a good workout at medium tension. I haven’t tried the arm bands for upper body yet but it was definitely a factor in deciding on this unit.

This is a solid well built indoor exercise machine. We use it daily in the winter time and haven’t had any problems with it. At first I found that it slid along the floor when pedaling but now I position it against a step and it works well. We’re very satisfied with it!

Really perfect for me. I have averaged about 50 miles per day and have lost 4 pounds in one week. Really well built and totally silent. I’m 5’8 and I do have to sit in a low chair but it works well and I do computer work and talk on the phone while burning about 1000 calories a day! You can’t beat that. I was looking at more expensive solutions but I won’t look anymore. Completely satisfied.

positive: good exercise bike; easy to assemble, very very quiet, stable on carpet surface, pedal forward and backward, develop sweating after 5 min.negative: could not use under desk; my desk is 73.6 cm high (29 inch) and i am only 157 cm (5’2″) and my knees were hitting the desk, not easy to read the display, the blue back light on the display never lit, the provided batteries do not last long and be careful when changing the batteries, one felt in the device and not been able to retrieve it yet.
