Great deal, easy to take, and quality ingredients.

No evidence of lead chromate. Not a lot of curcuminoids for the volume of capsules
It is usually hard for me to review supplements because supplements are unregulated and it is difficult to test purity or potency without a lab. There has been an issue with turmeric being adulterated with lead chromate to enhance the color or chalk/starch to increase the volume. Lead chromate can actually poison the consumer with lead. Fortunately, there is a simple test to see if your turmeric has been adulterated with lead chromate. The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India has put out a video on how to test that you can find on youtube. In short, if you sprinkle the turmeric into a glass of water, lead chromate will dissolve and turn the water yellow. Turmeric that does not have lead chromate added will float and gradually fall to bottom of the glass leaving the water clear. The New World Herbal Wellness brand passed the test. I have tested other turmeric supplements that failed this test and showed that they contained lead chromate. If you look at my other reviews for turmeric you can see the comparison pictures of 3 brands including the one that failed.As far as value, the turmeric root extract is standardized to 95% curcuminoids and listed as 625mg per serving but it also lists organic turmeric root at 1580mg per serving (3 capsules). The curcuminoids contained in the root is not defined but can range from less than 1% to about 8% curcuminoids. Best case you are getting maybe 126mg of curcuminoids out of that 1580mg of root. So, in a 3 capsule serving you at getting anywhere from about 640mg to 750mg of curcuminoids which is considered the active ingredient. You have to take 3 large capsules to get up to 750mg of curcuminoids. I have another product that does not contain turmeric root powder. It is only the 95% extract with pepper and (2) capsules of the same size provide for 950mg of curcuminoids. It is a club warehouse brand and costs considerably less and I only have to take 2 capsules. I think the product page is somewhat misleading referring to the large mg of turmeric curcumin (1580mg powder and 625mg extract) followed by “95% curcuminoids” when there is really only 625mg of extract at 95% curcuminoids and the rest is just root powder that does not have a stated curcuminoid content. They are expanding the volume with root powder and implying that it is 2250mg of 95% extract.

So far, so good
This seems to be a good quality Turmeric so far.- Capsules are easy to swallow- No odd aftertaste or ill effects- Price/Value is good- Label has GMP stamp and claims 3rd party lab tested (however I haven’t seen the COA yet)I haven’t had any problem taking these, but I’m only giving 4 stars for now until I have a chance to view a COA from the company for this product. If/when I receive that, I’ll revise my review accordingly.

Quality Product
This 120 Count Turmeric Curcumin with Black Pepper Extract is a fairly large bottle but it’s more expensive per pill than my usual turmeric supplement I buy at the Big box stores. The serving size is 3 per day. I normally avoid supplements where the serving size is more than two a day as I find it hard to remember to take that many pills throughout the day. The pills are easy to swallow and did not upset my stomach. I didn’t have any after taste from them either. I think is a good quality supplement and I feel that Turmeric is worth taking daily but I am not sure I would purchase this again only due to the price.
