Excellent quality iron supplement
My daughter asked if I had any recommendations for an iron supplement. I’d just noticed Carlyle Iron Supplements with Vitamin C earlier that day. I told her that though I hadn’t tried their iron supplements, I have other supplements that I order from Carlyle, and I’ve always found them to be excellent quality. I placed an order for them, feeling sure that these would be good too.The supplements arrived quickly and she began taking them the same day. She liked that they were tablets (about the size of an aspirin), they were easier for her to swallow than capsules. Capsules sometimes get caught in her throat; she didn’t have any problems with these. She also said they didn’t have an unpleasant smell or taste. Some iron supplements taste metallic to her. She was able to take them without getting nauseous, a common problem with some iron pills she’s tried. She was very happy with them, and hoped they were truly doing their job. She’d find out soon when she went in to donate blood. She’s been declined before because of low iron. This time her iron was excellent though. This supplement performed very well. These tablets have a good amount of iron in them. They contain 65 mg of iron and 300 mg of vitamin C. Vitamin C helps the body absorb iron better. A dose is one per day, meaning this bottle of 180 will last almost six months. I’m pretty sure I have her sold on Carlyle now too. This is a company that offers excellent products at great prices. The supplements are non-GMO, made in the USA under GMP standards. They’re a quality product. So far Carlyle hasn’t ever let me down.****About me: Integrity is very important to me. Reviews I’ve posted will be from items I’ve had direct contact with. These are my honest opinions. I will not post a review for a product I have not had personal contact with.

It’s Iron, Man
I like Carlyle. It’s a solid company with supplements at reasonable prices. It’s my understanding that iron should be taken with Vitamin C. So it’s nice that Carlyle combines them.-No artificial flavor, sweetener, or preservatives“Laboratory Tested, Trusted Ingredients, Superior Quality, 100% Guaranteed!”-40 years experience. Family-run. Three generations.-Easy to swallow despite being a round tablet.-Tablets are coated. No adverse tastes, smells, or side effects-Able to easily find company website-Contact information on label-No artificial flavor or preservatives-Very sharp packaging-Love the flip top!!-Packaged & lab tested in the USA-Sourced in Canada, USA, and Mexico depending on weather-GMP certified facility-Safety seals were intact-At the time of this writing, the manufacturer has not mentioned on this site if there was “3rd party” testing done. Though I was able to independently verify there was. Recommend manufacturer adds “third party” to the product description on this site.-I’m not a healthcare professional or expert on supplements.

Iron includes Vitamin C
Carlyle Iron Supplement 65mg with Vitamin C is easy to swallow and a little larger pill in size than my previous brand of iron. I have not experienced any side effects so they are safe for me to take. There are not a lot of additives included. I only take iron every 3 days as a supplement. I do have low red blood cells and that is most likely due to me donating blood every 56 days so prior to my blood donations, I will take iron tablets 5 days straight to ensure my blood count is high enough to donate. I don’t see a category listed for where the iron tablets fall into – ferrous sulfate, slow release, etc. The bottles of iron on their website does have a label listing of what category the iron is listed in however, the bottle I received does not identify whether they are slow release, ferrous sulfate, etc. I liked that there is a website with additional information such as customer service phone number and other supplements to order. DISCLAIMER: I received this product free via Amazon’s Vine Program. I am not paid to participate in the program nor paid for my review. My goal is to share an honest and unbiased review of my experience with this product.

Easy to swallow; includes Vitamin C
This is a 6-month supply of 65mg coated (cellulose coasting) iron tablets. I appreciate that they’re coated because most iron tablets aren’t, and it makes them harder to swallow. These are small and easy to swallow. This product has an added benefit of 300mg of vitamin C per dose, which is a nice touch. I take them before bed to avoid any stomach upset during the day. No complaints!

Absorbs better than other forms
This form of iron absorbs best for me and the high dose of 65mg is exactly what I need. It also does not cause stomach issues that so many others forms do. The added vitamin C helps absorption. I like that it is vegetarian and has minimal clean ingredients. The tablets are small and easy to swallow.

Vitamin C and iron are best friends
Did you know? Vitamin C helps with the absorption of iron.Which is why this product is a very nice combination of two essential elements, as a supplement for those of you who may be a bit low on iron. Of course, too much iron is toxic, so you should always consult with your doctor before taking this type of supplement. But for me, it’s essential. The pills are interesting, they are black! Besides the interesting appearance they are normal and easy to swallow with some water or juice. The quantity, 180 tablets, at $9.99 at the time of writing, seems like a very good deal. I’ll definitely plan to get more when I run out.
