Easy to swallow, non-GMO
I’ve used a few supplements from PureFormulas, and I like the brand. This chelated potassium is easy to swallow. You just take one capsule. It tastes like nothing. I’ve read the benefits of chelated potassium versus regular potassium and I figured I’d give it a try. I can’t really tell if it’s doing anything — but I usually feel the exact same after most supplements. The only way I know if there is any difference is after by doctor does my annual blood tests. I do like that this is non-GMO, but I don’t like that it contains magnesium stearate. I prefer supplements that have as few ingredients as possible and avoid additives that could be avoided if the manufacturing process was purer.

Low dosage
Potassium is an essential mineral that is needed by all tissues in the body. Its main role in the body is to help maintain normal levels of fluid inside our cells. Sodium and potassium are connected but have opposite effects. Potassium maintains normal fluid levels outside of cells and helps muscles to contract and supports normal blood pressure. Most adults don’t get enough potassium from food and unfortunately this supplement isn’t going to provide much help towards increasing the intake of it. It’s recommended adults get around 2,500 mg daily and this formula only provides 99 mg. People usually think of bananas for getting potassium but there are a lot of foods higher in potassium than bananas. Potatoes, leafy greens and lentils are some of the foods highest in potassium. Also, chelated minerals are supposed to boost absorption and typically cost more but research on it is kind of iffy. The listing says “our products are manufactured in the USA” but there is no indication of that on the bottle.

High quality potassium supplement.
I selected these because I need to take a potassium supplement. These vitamins arrived with no crushed capsules and they were not melted together. The capsules have no taste and are easy to swallow. Even though these do not have the gmp seal on the bottle the manufacturer states that these are gmp compliant. These do not list any type of third party testing and the manufacturer doe not state that it is available and that is the only reason I did not rate them five stars.
