Best Garlic EVER!
You pay for what you get . This is the best garlic. Received giant heads that were firm with mostly large bulbs. The garlic has a little bite but moved into it lovely garlic flavor with no aftertaste. It cooks up beautifully and lovely tasting for stirfry. I’m also attempting to grow it in the garden for harvest, so I’ll update later this summer.

Fresh
I have a difficult time finding fresh, vibrant garlic heads in my shopping sphere. What I received was exactly what I was looking for. Garlic soup, here I come.

Delish!!
This garlic was delish! I used an entire head in a recipe. It was braised with chicken for 2.5 hours and was amazing spread on warm homemade bread instead of butter. It was sweet and really unforgettable.

Garden Planting
After researching garlic varieties for our plant hardiness zones, I selected this variety to plant this fall. I was delighted with the vigor and size of the cloves on these garlic bulbs. These were planted within a few days (early November) and had some popping up through the soil in just 5 days….very happy with the germination rate. The bulbs varied from 11 – 18 cloves with an average of 14. Very excited about the potential 2023 harvest.

Dissapointed
Was very excited when I received my order for these Chesnok Reds. Planted mid-October (Zone 5). At the same time, I planted a different suppliers Spanish Roja garlic in the adjacent vicinity. Spring has arrived and while all of my Roja’s are growing like weeds, the Chesnock Reds have only produced 2 small shoots. It appears that all the other Chesnok Reds did not produce/survive. Very disappointing!
