Something is wrong with this product
I have bought and loved this calcium supplement for years. They were always fresh and tasty, and I took them daily on the advice of my doctor. Recently, they were not available, but resurfaced on Amazon. I bought two bags. Upon opening the bags, each wrapped calcium disk was covered in a white powdery film. Thinking that it was just this one bag, I opened my second bag, which was also covered in that same powder. . Desperate for a tasty calcium supplement, I went to the Vitamin store at the shopping mall. I told the manager that I would like to buy just one package, then open it to check if it is covered in a white powder. They said they would happily refund me if it was not perfect. I bought it, the manager and I opened it up and the SAME POWDER was covering the chocolate disk. The manager went to get another bag and opened it – same thing. He said it was never like that before as he used to take this same calcium tablet. SO, I am afraid to buy this product right now. If I ever succumb and try again ( this calcium disk used to be my favorite) I will go to the vitamin store here at home and ask them to open it up and then … if it’s chocolatety, I’ll buy 2 bags! But until then, I will buy only to get a refund if it is discolored. This calcium used to be chocolatey (no film) and delicious. I hope it can be restored to how good it usd to be.

    White, chalky and old
When I opened these they were white and chalky like they’d been sitting in a warehouse for ages melting and reforming. Had to throw them away and there was no refund available. Very disappointed.Would be happy to change my review if there was actually a way to resolve this issue or return product.

    Highly recommend
This is my go to pregnancy supplement. When pregnant you are taking so many supplements and vitamins, and I am not a person that enjoys it whatsoever. Being a dark chocolate lover (No, it is not this super smooth high end dark chocolate taste, but it gets the job done for me), this gives me something to look forward to and a little reward/ treat for myself post taking the others.

    Terrible
I have had this product in the past and they looked and tasted like a piece of Dove Dark Chocolate. This product came looking like they took old disc of these and threw them into a new bag. My husband ate one without knowing what they were supposed to look and taste like and said these are horrible. I would not recommend these at all

    Defective product
I’ve ordered this product previously and I have never had it arrive like this. It looks like they did not store them properly which caused them to loose their integrity. They even have a sour smell to them upon opening the bag. So disappointing!

    Candy or calcium? Both!
Osteoporosis sucks. What doesn’t suck? These calcium supplements! Instead of another pill to take, it’s a delicious treat. Love this product and will buy again. (Note however, that my diet doesn’t include junk food, so maybe I’m easier to please than people who eat a lot of processed food.)

    Tastes like chocolate!
I bought the Dark Chocolate version. These taste like real chocolate. Personally, I think they taste better than Viactiv. I appreciate the relatively low dose of Magnesium (40 mg). Some companies have 200 mg or more, which gives me diarrhea. However, this dose of Magnesium is more tolerable for me. I also like that they are individually wrapped, so I can throw them into my lunch bag to take to work. Then, I also get a little treat during the work day. It’s also nice for “pill fatigue” (i.e. if you take a bunch of other pills, this is one less pill to swallow). One downside is the price–currently $10 for 30 chocolate disks. I can get similarly dosed calcium tablets for $15 for 400 tablets (I just did today from a major name vitamin/mineral supplement brand). Also, I don’t have lab equipment, so I can’t test these to confirm they actually contain what they claim they do. I don’t see any markings that they are USP or NSF certified or that they have undergone third party testing. These are something I’d like to see because supplements don’t undergo the same rigorous testing as pharmaceuticals. Supplements can be contaminated with other ingredients and don’t always contain what they claim they do.
