I have to say that I really love this omega-3 supplement. It’s perhaps the only one I’ve ever had that I didn’t experience any burping up fishy taste. Absolutely no fishy smell or taste whatsoever. I also think that this is really high quality considering the EPA and DHA contents.I only took off one star because I really would have appreciated a 3rd-party test verifying purity and that it’s free of any contaminants.

Easy to swallow
These are easy to swallow and had no fishy aftertaste, which I appreciate. I hate fish, but I understand the importance of taking fish oil, so I’ve always forced myself to choke down capsules, but these are a much-improved version of what I’ve taken in the past.

Easy to swallow and no fishy taste.
I have already used up the entire bottle and I had no issues with these whatsoever. They were easy to swallow, no smell, and I didn’t experience any fishy aftertaste either. It takes time to experience any effectiveness using fish oil so I cannot speak on that.

Great source of Omega-3’s Norwegian deep sea sourced
I received this item through the Amazon Vine program in exchange for an honest review.I ordered these Omega-3 fish oil capsules because I take Omega-3’s on a regular basis for my heart health.The first thing that I noticed when I opened the bottle was that I didn’t notice any fishy smell coming from the bottle. That speaks well to the packing standards of the company. The capsules are a clear pale yellow in color. Although they are fairly large, they are easy to swallow, ( I swallowed both at one time.) I appreciate that care is taken to source this from wild caught deep sea fish, and to purify the oil to make it burpless and refluxless. These are a bit more expensive than some other fish oil capsules, but I believe the Norwegian standards are higher than those of certain other countries.

Differentiators: rTG omega-3 form & Norway sourced
The last several years, I’ve been rotating between fish oil and algae oil for my daily omega-3 consumption. In prior years, I had been a loyal customer of Nordic Naturals Ultimate Omega (sourced from fish oil) and this product from NYO3 is a reminder of the existence of many quality alternatives. A lot of different opinions exist as to how much and at what ratio EPA and DHA should be consumed daily, so omega-3 supplements are typically differentiated by these attributes, as well as the sources and how these are processed. The aforementioned Nordic Naturals product uses a 1.44:1 EPA to DHA ratio, and this product from NYO3 uses a 1.33:1 EPA to DHA ratio. EPA provides anti-inflammatory effects, and DHA boosts brain health. Put differently, EPA is considered more of a “neck-down” omega-3 and DHA is considered more of a “neck-up” omega-3. When choosing an omega-3 product, also always remember to pay attention to the number of capsules required to provide the amount of EPA and DHA shown in the supplement facts. This product caught my attention because it’s sourced from Norway, and provides the re-esterified triglyceride (rTG) form of omega-3. The vast majority of fish oil supplements provide the ethyl ester (EE) form of omega-3 instead of the re-esterified triglyceride (rTG) form of omega-3 such as this NYO3 product, and I’ve come across a growing number of products which provide TG form of omega-3 which is the form consumed when eating fish. I had been a loyal customer of Nordic Naturals Ultimate Omega for quite some time, probably because it was the premium fish oil supplement typically in stock at retail stores, and I didn’t realize all that time that it provides the EE form of omega-3. I tried the rTG form of omega-3 for the first time via a Daiken product, and have since started purchasing a similar product from Dr Brian Roettger, which I find to be much more reasonably priced, and now I am rotating between Dr Brian Roettger and several other products. The re-esterification process removes the alcohol from chemically modified EE fish oil to create a more natural form of omega-3. So what this NYO3 product provides is an attempt to get closer to the TG form of omega-3. As you might expect, the EE form of omega-3 is typically the least expensive, and the TG form of omega-3 is typically the most expensive, and the rTG form of omega-3 provided by this NYO3 product sits in the middle. Because products vary so much, and there’s some uncertainty as to which are truly the best, I also rotate between different brands and omega-3 forms when it comes to fish oil.
